ULTIMATE Marvel vs. Capcom 3 - OFFICIAL

Striders health looks lower than 800K. Looks like around 680-720K. But im probably just trippin.

honestly i stop reading there because you didn’t mention his teleport

if you pushblock a good wesker after a basic lmh block string your putting yourself into a 50/50 because of his teleport and it doesnt help that he can use lmh pause S as a ghetto frametrap. i guess i just find him too “safe” a character there is no downside to picking him i dont think you can say they for any other character in the game…not even Dante (my opinion)

holy shit. why did I not think of that sooner? one internet for you, sir!

@AceKillah: dude even his teleport isn’t that good. seriously. to get him in with teleports he NEEDS assists to be safe. yeah it’s good for mixups but great mobility and good normals is what a character needs in order to open people up. just throwing out gun-teleport L is a free punish especially if you don’t know your spacing, which is critical in zoning your opponent out with wesker.

Do it, even if it turns out to not be relevant it wouldn’t hurt.
Better to attempt to let them know what the community would like to see going forward than to stay quiet about it.
Even if Marvel ignores them again

Too much hype! I got my Frank West, and Hawkeye is a amazing bonus. :sunglasses:
New roster looks great, i’m excited to see Vergil and Nemesis in action. Capcom has major balls to not include Mega Man or Venom, fans are crying everywhere and demanding an explanation.

Rebalancing scares me. Make minor adjustments to current top tier (Mags, Phoenix, Wolvy), but don’t cripple them please.

Anyone else want an OBJECTION! counter super?

I hope to god there’s DLC, but I hardly expect it, especially considering Jill and Shuma are still DLC.

If there were, X would have to be in though. Why chuck him in on disc when you could get 5 bucks a pop for each download of him?

I’m certainly willing to vote in a DLC poll. Here’s a fun thought: If we get the results in before the UMvC3 team is disbanded and its members reassigned to other projects at Capcom… then Capcom might keep the team together and keep them on this sort of task. Consider an interesting possibility; an ongoing development cycle of DLC characters, released every few months. It’d almost be like subscribing to an MMO, except you could opt not to buy things you don’t want. I’d actually like to see UMvC3 be the subject of ongoing maintenance and content addition, as an actively supported game, financed in this fashion.

Not everyone is going to like that, I admit. There are tons of valid reasons you could dislike the idea I’m proposing, and I’m sympathetic to a lot of them. Still, imagine MvC3 with the same kind of post-release support that Starcraft gets. Perhaps if enough of us made it clear we were willing to foot the bill via purchasing ongoing DLC character releases, Capcom would go for it? One of the things I like about this idea is that you could perhaps see UMvC3 post incredibly healthy player counts over several years, instead of slowly dying down to a small, tournament-faithful crowd. Imagine “ten more years” with Capcom continuing to see good sales figures well after release, and we keep getting new stuff every so often to keep it fresh.

Granted, I’m probably pipe-dreaming here. In any case, I’d be up for a DLC poll if you’re really willing to subject yourself to it again.

As a Capcom fan, it is my duty to let them know when they’ve screwed up. If the fans won’t criticize Capcom for their mistakes, who will? :wonder:

If Capcom listens to you, I’m really feeling for ‘ol Capcom :’(

Also, Wright needs a lvl. 3 where all his buddies gather and just skullfuck you with an objection that annihilates you IE Dark Dimension/Penance Stare

You’re at the wrong site. Majority here seems to be praising Capcom for the character selection. GameFAQs or Unity might be upset about 90s TV show comic characters and Megaman missing, check them out.

This website is full of fanboys who will buy anything with Capcom’s name on it, though. If anything, praise should be expected to outweigh the hate. The Unity forums have a lot more hate going on though because that’s usually the first place people go to complain about stuff. I simply don’t like to mince words when I see Capcom doing something foul, no matter how much I love some of their games.

I think it’s obvious from what they are doing that this game is just a stepping stone towards the third version of MVC3, which makes me question why they don’t just skip UMVC3 and go straight to the third edition-- especially since MVC3 Vanilla has only been out a couple months. Even if Capcom believes UMC3 is necessary, I certainly don’t, and I am either going to hold out for the third edition or just stick with vanilla. If people want to line up to beta test MVC3 again for $40 that’s their own choice, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable for the other side of the argument to be presented.

Shut up.

Anyone notice that the meter gained on hit is significantly lower? I didn’t see so much for hitting, but that’s one that I did notice. Will help keepaway teams.

I’m glad they decided to release a new disc. They can apply more changes and add more content for a better price.

And hopefully Ultimate doesn’t mean last.

Give me a compelling argument as to why I should.

you must not know capcom

Was it that significant? It looked lower but not by much.

what, you mean Penultimate MvC3?

i got Doctor Strange (YES!!), Phoenix Wright, and Nemesis on lock. sucks B.B.Hood isnt among the “new” characters in UMvC3 but then there are ALOT of brand new fighters for MvC so im definitely feeling the love from that. i mean cmon guys, FUCKING FIREBRAND!!! loved Demons Crest!! also, WTF is a Rocket Raccoon?!

I’m all for constructive criticism.

But if you’re trying to get through to Capcom, talk to Capcom.

Offering your opinion on the game on SRK and putting down those who don’t agree =/= legitimately trying to inform Capcom of their mistakes or accomplishments.

This goes for either side.

Who do you really want to reach? Capcom, or the people who disagree with you?
