This is an awful example, because all it’s demonstrating is poor gameplay. P Gorath already figured out that V Joe’s Six Cannon is this game’s poor man’s AHVB, a move from a 10+ year old game. In year one of said 10+ year old game, everyone learned that you do NOT call assists against AHVB unless you are standing right next to the opp or crossing them up. But for MvC3, those lessons were somehow unlearned, so we get people calling full/midscreen assists against AHVB again. P Gorath was also “absolutely annihilating” Sent assist, and that is also one of the best assists in the game. But the “Hsien-ko stigma” supersedes all logic so instead of it being that Six Cannon is an awesome assist punish or that calling a GTFO assist at full-screen is bad, it all goes back to “poor Hsien-ko is worst character, boo hoo.”
Hsien-ko’s assist is great. And it’ll get better in UMvC3 because the other GTFO assists are getting nerfed. All it’s gonna take is one good, dedicated player and his inevitable Youtube vid to put it in “MvC2 Tron assist” tier
Marvel will whore itself out for anything (before and after Disney bought them up)…DC owned under Time Warner is not as easy. But if the travesty of MKvDC can be made, then Marvel vs. DC is possible.

This is a game where the abstracts should definitely make it in Id rather Kang over Doom, Adam warlock over wolverine … Sorry im having a nerd moment. Black Bolt had better make it into a game like this.
I know it’s a stretch but I really want to see hitbox data for this game. With all the wonkiness going on it would be an amazing revelation to see how the shenanigans take place. Unfortunately I’m sure Niitsuma will just laugh it off.
Problem is - it’d have to have a ton of characters. DC would definitely put in the marquee people seeing as though it would be there first Capcom versus series appearance. In turn Marvel would then put it’s marquee characters - whom we’ve all played into the ground. I’d say we’d need like 30-35 characters from each side to cover the expectations of the marquee characters, but also give other interesting choices as well.
Besides Marvel vs. DC seems like an epic enough idea to warrant the biggest roster in versus game history.
Yeah, they won’t release that data ever. Dissapointing, at least patch notes would be fantastic. But again, they do things differently than developers here.
And on a side note, I was also hoping for Miss Marvel.
Yeah, true. Most common people only know the Justice League (Batman, Supes, GL, Flash, Manhunter, WW, Aquaman), and Batman’s and Supes rouge galleries. It’s not like Marvel who reps all there characters out, so more people know the brand. DC has alot of characters people know or have seen a different times in the DCU spot light…but only the JLA get the prime media attention.
Go open up anything from GL’s Blackest Night or Brightest Day stuff and you’ll see an easy 50+ DC fan favorite characters.
No you see, they can put in the new outfits as the default ones, and sell the classic outfits as DLC.

But these cross overs never usually work due to the fact that DC will never depict their big 3 (Supes/WW/Batman) being defeated by their Marvel counterparts.
I was actually hoping that this would be a follow-up to slow-mo dodge, since that would make the most sense. But a level three would be awesome! Just have him stylin’ on the opponent. With each pose doin damage, and being controlled by YOU (For the lulz factor). God that would be awesome.
Also, you know what would be game-breakingly awesome for Joe? Give him the ability to use his Ukemi after a knowkdown. Just for him, too.
Edit: Marvel vs DC? I think that would be the most hype game to be ever made, **EVER **Seriously, if marketing were handled correctly, the hype could make Halo look like a NIS game.
