Well it make sense - her entire outfit is a battle suit. I’ve been wanting vid/imagery of it so I can see exactly how it animates. Not sure if she removes/pulls down the glasses, etc.
Overally I’m happy with what I’m hearing thus far about UMvC3. My main characters (Zero, Viper, Chris, Ryu) all are getting buffed overall - some even getting new toys.
Oh man I fear for that book. Loeb hasn’t written anything good in recent memory. The only things that he’s done that are worth noting in somewhat recent memory that I can remember are the Marvel Color books he did with Tim sale. Other than that Ultimatum and his run on Hulk was pretty awful. I loved Ed McGuiness on that book. Although I think his style lends more to the “burly monsters,” it doesn’t really translate very well when drawing normal people. Nevertheless, I hope that the book is good because I really like Cable (comics and in MvC2).

I think the select screen looks fine. Some of the characters’ faces just look stupid
I love the UMvC3 character select screen. The idea of splitting up the MARVEL/CAPCOM characters is genius. Like said above, just change some of the faces.
The background is also better. Though people might not want to see Megaman on the bottom left of the screen lol

One thing I’m a bit curious about. Didn’t Capcom say pre-MvC3 release that Breath of Fire Ryu was not considered because they already had a Ryu in the game. If the name issue meant anything to them what are going to do with Phoenix and Phoenix Wright? I don’t think it’s such a big deal. Not likely that players are going to look at the lifebars and get confused which Phoenix is which, but if it was important enough to take BoF out of the running why is not an issue anymore? Especially considering they could have easily renamed Marvel’s character to Jean Grey, but they obviously didn’t.
Looked to me like she pressed a button on the side of her glasses and the beam shot out from the glasses themselves.
It’s very fast and goes full screen, but can be ducked by nearly everyone and you can tell when it’s charging (like buster). Didn’t look at the damage output.

I don’t know why capcom think they need to put all the characters from a specific series next to eachother on the select screen? The more randomness of MvC2’s select screen was much better, and less childish. The new layout is horrible, I hope they change it back to one that was like the select screen has ALWAYS been like in the MvC games!
