I like to consider myself the last person to say these kinds of things, because I usually find no reason to be rude and argue on the internet these days. It causes undue stress, and I generally like being nice… but sir, with all due respect, STOPPED-READING-THERE.

Marvel has a say in who’s in MvC3. That’s why there’s no Gambit or Venom. Probably won’t get Psylocke either considering she isn’t significant in Marvel right now.
That was already answered at comic con marvel has full controll for their roster.

Shoulda been nerfed right outta the roster in favor of…ANYbody currently in a series. I’d even take Preggers Rahne.
I still can’t figure out why mashable hypers were added other than “just because”…
People keep saying “for more damage”: That doesn’t explain why they were added and it means non-mashed hypers do less damage than mashed (obviously) so why wouldn’t they just be set to the max damage and not include mashing?
I guess people or the devs think mashing during hypers is fun or makes it more “MARVEL BABY!!”? I know other games have mashable Supers like 3rd Strike (Necro, Sean off the top of my head have a mashable hyper). I guess I can see it as working to squeeze out every damage but if “every” character has a mashable hyper, seems to cheapen it.
I dunno, I think it’s kind of silly but I’ll get deal with it.

Jean is a Marvel Icon, whether you like it or not she is one of the most popular Marvel characters. She isn’t dead in continuity, she is playing a huge role in the upcoming X-Men stories, and the Dark Phoenix saga helped revolutionize the comic genre. So no she shouldn’t be nerfed right out of the roster. No one knows who Wolfsbane is but they sure as hell can tell you who the Phoenix is.
Also, I am quite tired of hearing all these people begging for characters to be nerfed to oblivion. That destroys games. I want all characters to be viable, and to be balanced. That is how you build a good game. Wolverine makes me rage, but I don’t want him to not be viable I want him brought into line. And it only makes you sound like a whining infant when you spout that shit.
And yes it is obvious that they have no clue how to make Phoenix viable. That much is obvious
