Dante is a high execution character, and he’s not that simple. So I think he deserves to be a good character if used correctly. Plus he might have got other changes, probably some nerfs.
Why is everyone mad about mashing for more damage when a Super or Special hits?
X-Men/Marvel Vs games had mashing for more damage since the beginning and no one complained about it.
The only mashing that shouldn’t be in fighters is mashing while blocking that leads to positive results like stupid ass SF4 and DOA!
I don’t think Dante being basic is an issue… it’s more about how effective a basic playstyle with him can be. He’s probably one of the more complex characters out there, but mastering him to that degree is hardly necessary to be relatively potent with him. It sounds like the changes will force players in the right direction with Dante and dig a bit deeper.
It’s bizarre to see Dante players calling for buffs though. I would think they’d be grateful to just avoid the nerf bat as much as possible. He could still get Phoenix’d =O

No, I didn’t. I don’t even use standing :h: except maybe once every few matches. I rather use standing 
instead if I am going to something like unreliable go through things with armor. Or Gamma Charge :h: - :h:

If smash gets grief for l canceling not being strategic then same goes for mashing. Its not strategic “should i mash or not” its “Im doing this super thus i must mash.”

I’d laugh with salty tears if the reasoning behind Tron’s nerfs were to spite Inafune and all things Megaman not named Zero. And at this point, I’m pretty sure Capcom either refuse to acknowledge that Hsien-Ko exists and that she was a mistake that should be brought up as little as possible, or they just forgot about her.
But hey, Dante got even more toys to play with in DT and Viper might have a decent zoning tool now to add to her already-strong close range game. Everything’s good, right?
