Wow this thread got dumb. I remember that ekie guy spamming Unity with requests for Black Panther. Also, a character getting beat by another character doesn’t mean the loser is a worse fighter. Sometimes the story(writer) just demands it. Remember when Spiderman beat Firelord?Yeah, it happened.It shouldn’t have,but it did.And Black Panther got straight ridiculous after Reginald Hudlin started writing him. Did anyone remember Black Panther’s show on BET? It was absurd.He beat everyone.

You’d think so, but considering that capcom has stated sales of UMVC3 will have an effect on future updates…I think I can move my pawn afterall. For everyone jumping down the “I want a black character” posters. Do you post this much when someone says “I want more titties” in the game? Granted titties are amazing things, without them we wouldn’t have black people or any people in general. Capcom should have just said this:
“There wasn’t enough demand and marvel did not make that a paramount concern.”
Face it people of advanced melanin production who want to see it in its digital likeness while you and I may want to have a rep in the game, lets face it, we ARE in the minority. (Get it?)

I loved that show and Reginalds take on the panther lol! It was HIS show he should be able to beat people. How often do you see characters lose in their own show or comic book?
I’m loving the new characters revealed. They all look fairly smooth to play, and I see no Haggars/Hsien-Kos. Hopefully, that doesn’t change when more new guys are revealed.
Quite often actually. Hell an X man died on the very first episode of the X men cartoon series. Morph ended up being the dark horse of the show.Reginald wrote Black Panther they way that alot of writers Batman. By that I mean, they make him ridiculously better than everyone else.

Actually if I recall a few of those books the Black Panther was going through hell against Klaw and Doom at one point. Now thats definitely a lot more impressive than his “sidekick” like role in the Avengers. Kind of not fair using Xmen in general. Their book (never watched the cartoons) is all about dying and coming back to life. There’s so many of them the story just progresses until a later date when they “surprise” you with their resurrection.

If MvC3 wanted to be more politically correct to current america there would be a easily identifiable lesbian, gay, and bisexual character in. Not more black characters.
SRK AA on everything is stupid. Can we PLEASE get back to the game instead of constantly posting about how unfair it is that there isn’t more black characters?
I hope they implement nova’s energy absorption into his gameplay, maybe a projectile “counter” that instead of sending the projectile back absorbs it and maybe gives him access to supped up versions of his attacks or something. The energy absorption is one of the main reasons I wanted bishop, but since he got the shaft I hope nova fills that role. Gosh I can’t wait for more news about the new characters, they all have the potential to be unique, except iron fist(in my opinion of course, please don’t flame me), but Im sure capcom will work something out with him, maybe a health regeneration hyper or something.

As for Nova’s absorption powers in this game, he’d probably only be able to absorb energy-based projectiles, right? I mean, it’d just be weird if Taskmaster/Hawkeye/Arthur shot an arrow at him or Hsien-Ko chucked an axe or bomb or log or whatever at him and he just absorbed it. Though what if he could absorb beams? He could make zoning even more underpowered it already is!
It would be awesome if Nova can absorb certain projectiles to empower himself. Though, I imagine he’ll just have an ability to absorb projectiles in general. That, and he’ll Jon Talbain the fuck out of everyone.

If he is busy absorbing he isn’t busy moving in, at least that is how I see it. Maybe if he absorbs projectiles and makes it into meter. This is some extreme theory crafting based on comic books though. 
I actually hope nova plays like tekkaman blade, with more lazers. Dash attacks, laser blast, teleports, and awesom

Technically Iron Fist can absorb and redirect energy, he should also be able to charge his own meter by concentrating.
Maybe during super jump? Talk about irritating.
