Are there supposed to be reveals at EVO, or just the playable Comic Con version?
Pretty sure it is just a playable version involving the 4 already released characters.
Oh yeah, they covered that in some TPB I got, Trails and Tribulations I think.
Shame, though I wonder if the leaks will increase the frequency of reveal trailers for the charaters? November isnt that far off and they have quite a few characters left
Didn’t we used to get 4 characters revealed at a time back in the day? That’s two more reveals.
Capcom seems committed to revealing characters when they had intended to. There are still a number of large gaming conventions in the months leading to November.
I’ve got a feeling that there will actually be new reveals at EVO. The only reason I think that is because this year’s EVO seems like it’s a lot more then just a tournament, it feels like a major gaming convention, ala E3 or PAX. I mean, this is the only year that I know of where there’s multiple panels involving pretty much every big fighting game dev. team, demos for a LOT of upcoming fighters, and a lot of fighting game documentaries.
While we won’t get a new build of the game, I kinda of see more reveals happening at EVO. If it doesn’t happen, then that also wouldn’t surprise me. Time will tell.

i wanted dr strange or sinister so i’m happy there. i didn’t see rr coming but hopefully he’s a cable replacement since we didn’t get cable or bishop.
as far as ryu, it would have been more dope IMO if he was more like his mvc1 self and could mimic ken and turn into evil ryu.

Wasn’t spiderman revealed at TGS because he’s popular in Japan? Id guess TGS would have 2 reveals, PW and Marvel character (because PW is popular in Japan). Evo probably isn’t likely but you never know, but they might save reveals for their UMvC3 events.
I think theres another con in mid August too? Seems like a reasonable time to reveal 2 more characters.
Good point, they’re having a MVC panel at EVO, and it wouldnt make sense to just rehash what was said the weekend before at Comic-Con.

If anything, make it The Thing so we can have more powerhouses… it’s the closest thing to Juggernaut that I’d get 
Doom’s missles are awesome, but I realize doom isn’t for everyone. I think a solid beam assist, or a solid hit-stun assist makes rush down easier for Hulk. Most of the time I land a j.:s:into the bounce, and then j. :l:, j. 
x2, standing :l:, standing , :s: magic series in the air. This is 500k damage off a mix up on Doom’s missles, or if Skrull is still up his Orbital Grudge.
If you are finding yourself getting push blocked a lot, do a few Gamma charge :h: - :h: to bait and follow up with an assist for some more mix up, or even some command throws. The push block on the second part of Gamma charge is very small, and with an assist often gives you the chance to do a jump :s: to cross them up.
I rarely land a standing :h:, so I actually recommend using it as bait since you can cancel it into gamma charge. This is stuff that works for me though, based on my team make up and play experience. It certainly isn’t for everyone.
I can see characters revealed at evo for sure. After that there is still pax, than tgs and finally the nycc.
So in the past couple of pages I’ve read about racial politics, misogyny in comics, tolerance of other religions and sweet fuck all about UMVC3. How bout that Marvel guys?
