Just pointing out DC is in a giant shit hole right now. Their reboot probably won’t go over well. They had a panel where 10 people showed up, and the guy that answered the questions was a even bigger misogynist than I am (look it up, even I was like ‘Wow’.), and their movies have been incredibly sub par.
I thought I heard DC was talking to Capcom about something during the stream. I may of been wrong though.
Though, I did hear one thing about the reboot for Green Lantern that I thought was interesting. They are considering making Abin Sur and Sinestro lovers, and having Sinestro have to kill Abin sur for the better of the Lanterns. Which would make for pretty awesome story. I better get back on topic though.

If gameplay is overstated, then it should be fair to say that, in some cases, diversity is, too. No, gameplay doesn’t matter to everyone, but it doesn’t give you the right to bash it because you wouldn’t notice if the whole cast played exactly the same. “Imagined”, my ass.

If you need a certain race to be in a video game just for you to enjoy it, I think theres other things going on there.
All In all this has probably been one of the most diverse (comic speaking, race issues in a video game lulz) casts that have been in a MVC game.
But it boils down to what they want, and right now Black Panther isnt relavant, maybe if the game was made when he married Storm he might have gotten in, but hes never really been an A lister.
Black Panther sells so well he doesn’t need to be represented in game outside of Storm’s cameo. Marvel has several other comic book series that are amazing that people are only getting into, and letting characters of those series get in to promote those is a good thing.

Actually, Black Panther is an A lister. He just really doesn’t NEED a spot. I wouldn’t mind if he got in though. Just like I wouldn’t mind if Thanos or Hulkling got in.
He goes back and forth it seems, they seem to swap him and Luke Cage around depending on whos needed to be in the spotlight.
In all honesty though I never followed Black Panther comics too much, didnt appeal to me.
Theres a lot of characters that deserve spots that havent gotten any though (Namor, Human Torch, various X Men, tons of Cosmic Characters etc)
Its just basicaly who they want in the game.
Cosmic characters,Young Avengers, and Thunder Bolts deserve spots. Fuck X-men and FF. Cause I am biased.
Namor on the other hand, if Iron Fist didn’t get in I’m sure he would of.

Agreed, Namor’s a staple of Marvel comics, he’s been around as long as Captain America, and for all the fire based characters we have in the game, I wouldnt mind a water based one.
Yes those series need to be repped. One character each at least. I kinda agree with the X-Men part (unless they put in an actual good character).
We need at least one of the FF to battle Doom/Super-Skrull. They did it with Dr. Strange/Dormammu/Shuma, so why not FF?
This is the post I intend to make about the lack of AA characters.
As a black man, I couldn’t really care less. Honestly race is only an issue in things because we make it one. When I look at the character roster I don’t see white, black, etc - I just see a lot of cool characters that I’ve enjoyed reading and playing over the years. I can definitely see where some people are coming from and I’m not saying they’re wrong - but there comes a point in your life when you have to realize that if you want things to change you have to start with yourself. Making race a big fuss (especially in a video game) is just something that keeps the whole racial issue alive. Bring it up it situations that really matter, that are going to make a difference - where there’s truly an injustice going on. Those situations occur on a global scale - not in a niche video game.
She Hulk has been part of the FF several times. Just going to throw that out there.
Silly but I can’t stand Namor. I’ve never liked any character who makes it a point to break up someone else’s relationship. It’s a big part of the reason I’ve never liked Wolverine.
I mean the real FF not the reserve people. Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch (R.I.P.) or The Thing.
Because Super Skrull is in the game, and it would be weird to have the Fantastic Four without the rest of them. Even if every member was a playable character, you’d only be able to use three at once. Skrull makes everything easier.
You really think he had a good chance? Although, at one point I was sure he was going to be in, back when some of us thought the stage in the Haggar leak was Atlantis.
I still want to see him make it in…
He should have a tidal wave hyper, or water in all his hypers. Too bad it’s ultimate Namor that has hydrokinesis.
But I also wanted him in as an alternative to Colossus, since he has the potential of taking some of his moveset.
