the buffs in the game for the weaker people, are good. The balancing shouldn’t cripple certain characters.
Though now people have to re-learn how to play Phoenix without spamming.
I’m cautiously optimistic for this iteration. It’s sounding like they’re trying to to reel in alot of the flat-out retarded shit that made me hate MvC3. Maybe I’ll take UMvC3 seriously for more than a week before I sell it. I hope so, because I really want to like this game.
Point me to a better one and I’ll check it out. At the time, the one from NeoEmpire looked the best since it used all other lists and compiled them together.

For my sake, they better pulling a lot of interesting movset from their butts. I already have few interesting concept so far.
Sand Man: He could be armored grappler where he could use his sand hands to grab the characters and do wicked combo.
Chuck Greene: He would be heavy combo character where we have to put right combo input to allow him to summon weapon. For example, A > B > C would allow him to pop up with knives gloves and kicking some people. Press B > C > A would allow him to summon chainsaw paddle to continue the combos.
Nina from BOF2: She would have flight mode and being magician. She should be air character and her hyper would level her up to Shaman’d Black Wing Nina.
Green Goblin: Enough said
Felyne: Armor switching character to have variable weapons and magic . Unlike Arthur which is powered up armor to powered up his attacks. (I haven’t play monster hunter but I saw a lot of armors concept.)
Songbird: 1/2 Grappler + 1/2 Projectiles. With her pro wrestling experience, and flight mode, she could have some kind of grabs in air and use her pinky beams to cause some kind of projectiles.
I have a lot of concept for many characters to make themselves more unique in the marval scene.
Also they should bring few veterans with unique movesets back.

umvc3 is looking good to me, idc about char selection any more, new chars look fun to play at least, and if they fixed what they said they fixed then I’m good. And any buffs to “weaker” chars like Iron Man, Thor etc. would be just gravy to me if they decide to do that.
Since they’re retooling galactus, why not get rid of the akuma/wesker/dorm as heralds idea and put ss as a non playable herald? Dunno, just a thought.
Why are people posting ideas for a 3rd version? We don’t even know what all of the Ultimate characters play like yet.
They can’t put in SS as a nonplayable herald because people would complain that he isn’t playable. Just like they’re doing with Daredevil now. I also like taking the villains and turning them into heralds, it’s a pretty cool way to combine the universes. I hope they add more possible characters to be heralds though. I’d be siked for a fight against Cosmic Nemesis and MODOK.
Fight 2 heralds at the same time while fighting Galactus. Now that would be kind of tough, trying to pay attention to all of them.
On a similar note, if they do another event mode (which by the way I don’t know of any of them so this may have already been done) they could have a survival type mode in it where you face herald versions of everyone followed by Galactus.

Nowadays gamers won’t be happy with NPC’s, especially in fighting games. Hell, they barely tolerate Hidden Unlockable Fighters (only because it’s a race for who can use him/her first online, and there are often Achievements/Trophies tied in with them.) Bringing in Norrin Radd won’t only cause an uproar, but some smart-ass might try to hack the game in order to use him, then post the eventual YouTube video about it.

Guys play as females in fighting games because it doesnt matter what your in game character looks like if he/she/it gets the job done.
That being said, I pick my favorite characters cuz Im a fuckin boss.
The interview on SRK made it seem there will be no reveal at EVO. He said no “announcement of announcements,” but since they are bringing the battle director I’d hope they might show some reveal trailer? I heard from Seth in another interview that game show builds for events take some time to make…
I remember either Niitsuma saying that EVO was too soon for a character reveal, but then I think I remember Seth saying that there might be one then. I’m not getting my hopes up.
I’m laughing at people mad at the lack of minorities and want them arbitrarily added in. That’s so much worse. Yeah, just ignore the process to select characters, just skip over the part where characters are decided on what they can add to the game and diversity just add this character because people are complaining that there isn’t enough [ethnicity/homosexuals/trannys/disabled] characters.
I honestly didn’t even notice until these people showed up. I’m black and never have I played or decided to play a character because they were also black.
I play DeeJay in HDR because I like the way he plays
I play Dudley in SSF4 and 3S because I like the way he plays and his style (drives his car in boxing gloves)
I like Akuma in 3S because I thought SGS and KKZ were the sweetest moves ever
I played Rolento and Sakura in A2 because I liked the way they played
I used Karin in A3 because I liked the way she played
I used Jacky and Vanessa in VF4Evo because I enjoyed the way they played
I loved playing as Slayer, Venom, Jam and ABA in Guilty Gear
I played Tao in BBCS because she was the one I enjoyed using
In MvC3 I use Doom and Tasky the most
But really, stop running around complaining and trying to make Capcom or whoever look bad for not adding.making a [minority] character, pretending they did it intentionally. Last thing I want to see in games is a arbitrary minority quota to comply to because this group of people is overly sensitive.
I get (I think) that people want to play female characters or male character or black characters or robot characters or whatever but it isn’t the end of the world or some grand scheme to make that missing/lacking group look bad. Damn.
Any sensible person isn’t going to give a fuck what nationalities the characters are. You pick the character because you like them, not because you share some kind of obsure similarity.
What was whiny about my post? All I said was that I did not like MvC3, but that I hope UMvC3 is much better.

You know damn well Capcom wasn’t thinking “nice we’ll put storm in to satisfy the African American players”… They put her in cuz she’s a well known, well liked character that has great presence in this game and the preceding games. That being said, they surely don’t do intentionally NOT choose characters for that same absurd reasoning. Come to think of it, that guy is a fucking dick.
