It’s because Arthur is small. Jill flew over him before the hitbox of Arrow Kick actually landed thus it hit from behind, blocking the Wall Bounce. That’s what I could diagnose from Desk’s vid. It’s hard to really tell though without a 60 FPS vid or a Frame by Frame option to look at.
But as Paulow said, the secret is to get Arrow Kick to land BEHIND the opponent.
OH Screw you Paulo! haha
Could you extend it a bit with a Flip Kick,22S,Flip before the cart?
I see, that makes sense! YeahDood100% was able to get the Arrow Kick with Cartwheel, so I guess it would make sense to say that the same instance happened.
Good to know, FlyingVe thought it was a meaty arrow kick for awhile.
Well, the question is how do we optimize the Arrow Kick more now? Paulow started it off great, maybe we can get more.
And technically, I guess it is a Meaty Arrow Kick. Hitbox is hitting late, but it’s really more about Jill getting behind the opponent to block the bounce.
I think we have it pretty far optimized, we have feints, faux-wallbounces, and dual wall bounce combos. If we can do all of this now, time will tell how far we will get in the next 12 months. It’s great that both of her wallbounces have so many uses. I was just wondering really out of the box, if it would be possible to do resets like Frank’s 236M reset (where they flip really low afterward) with either of her wallbounces. For that to be done though, hitstun would have to be quite high, I can imagine there would be great resets that come off of a corner low air tech’d 22S M
Edit: Well, I found a way to break 700k with s.M using Paulo’s BNB, which is MUCH easier than my old way of breaking 700 solo. You can extend Paulo’s BNB with a jump loop after the last Arrow Kick. Looking to break 750 haha.
But it works starting with an overhead? I’m gonna be away from my Xbox the next week, so I can’t test it. Could you record it?
Talking bout my 750k solo combo, I’m pretty sure it’s possible to do one or two Flip Kicks after 4H, now that you said, but I have to pratice.
I’ll check it no prob. Unfortunately, the way I usually get my vids up (PJS) is down for awhile, so I’ll update if it works on here.
Tks
Unfortunately they are too high and flip out before you can get a flipxxCart in.
Not sure if you guys know about it, but While testing this I found out that Jill can combo after she uses her 22S M twice with a Somersault. I wonder if she can combo anything else, I tried cart but it came out a bit too slow
What about FlipxxCart out of the 22S M Twice?
I tried off a flip Loop:
M,H,2H,4H,Flip Kick,22S,Flip kick,22S,Fip Kick,22S,M, 22S,M,Somersault,22S,Flip,22S,Cart.
It works but it’s an extremely tight link.
M,H,2H,4H,Flip,22S,Flip,22S,Flip,22S,M,Cart,22S,M,Somersault,MGS it less tight and works.
How’s the damage compared to her normal BnB’s?
About mid/high 600k range. So about the same, I would say.
The first combo did about 660 or so, which in essence is pretty high for a Flip kick loop.
The good thing abut this is that it sets up low air techs which I touched upon before, really similar to Frank 236M Resets.
Christ, this week must be Jill’s birthday, new tech left and right.
So i went online with my new jill team yesterday and recorded some plsome sets i played with a few friends and randoms to see how i did. Very badly i know but i dont want to blame lag(no jump loops :()/matchups health etc because most of these people are straight up better than me anyway. Ive looked over my matches but my jill knowledge is really limited.
Id like some pointers from everyone though as the way i was losing was emotional i shouldnt be losing that bad tbh so i got alot to work on be as harsh as possible!
Ill be going to my london locals today so ill be able to get some offline games ill try record those if im not on stream
I got in about 50 matches ill probs need 5,000 or so lol, here they are:

Rocked my new jill team again its work in progress still ended up playing a hulk team and some more magneto missiles as zoning is all that goes on in this country u_u i did terribly and tried to get something going with jill but it all went pear shaped only got 1 chance to land her bnb cleanly and dropped it next time was in xf which was something i never practiced sigh
anyone got matchups tips for me? or comments on what i should change up in my gameplay?
thanks guys
I didn’t watch the archives yet but i checked out some of the youtube vids and I think the main thing is you have to hit those bnbs. Also, you have to stay aggressive – against mag doom etc they will just pick you apart if you back up. I think for a little while you might wanna consider splitting up your team – pick some strong neutral assists like drones, beam assists, or akuma. These will give you the confidence to go in and attempt your combos with more frequency and learn to do things like FC dash behind.
Then when you start seeing things and executing better you can go back to your original team. You should also work on your vergil strider separately as well.
From what I’ve seen
Stop jumping. Jill should not be in the air unless she’s evading something. She’s completely ground-based. Don’t try to go for Double Knee Drops, the hitbox is extremely small and DKD is punishable on whiff. If you do happen do jump, try at least to do j.HS which is a bit safer and allows you to go for pressure, but once again stay the hell out of the air.
Feral Crouch–>6–>22S–>6 more. You need to be mobile with Jill, no wave dashing, no simple dashing. Feral Crouch is her true way of movement.
Abuse Somersault. I didn’t see you somersaulting much and it’s one of her strongest assets when you did somersault, you didn’t convert.
Be agresssive and abuse her mixups. You were kinda playing her Ryu-ish, and not really utilizing proper mixups. Also, you need to stay in the ass. The best way to stay in that ass is by doing #1 and #2 #3. Remeber 22S–>9S or 22S–>7S is her go-to overhead combo starter. You need to walk forward in the beginning of the match and apply pressure from the start.
You don’t use your assists much, You have Vajra which is one of her best assists, and Vergil whose assist is mediocre but can work for proper mixups and even command grab setups. You need to get used to using them in conjunction with Feral Crouch movement.
you gotta hit those combos, keep trying to hit them and make them muscle memory.
Footage from Rio Game Festival here in Brazil. I got 3rd place.
There’s a really good Jill comeback.

Good Stuff Paulinho -
I love how you basically perfected that guy after he perfected you lol.
