A FT10 against a friend, inspired by the great NonSexualRice, I decided to play with Jill and strider, Coon placed in the middle with the assist spitfire that is very similar to the drones of sentinel … i really like this team despite the low life …
would be nice if they gave me some hints what I’m doing wrong, do not expect high game play, it is the first time I play with this team …

- I see your enjoying the nice wakeup game with strider and jill, good stuff!
- Get used to moving with Feral Crouch Dashes and using somersault more, you seem to be moving with 6H and jumping H/S attacks and the occassion Arrow Kick feint.
- Along with Getting used to Feral Crouch movement, get used to using jill’s 9S Overhead in Feral Crouch, you seem to a bit predictable with the Left Right mixups.
- Your combos need abit of work, with Strider you can do the Jump Loop and Arrow Kick combo, just delay your j.HS–> Call Strider–>s.S Without, you can do my Mini Mad Beast loop for alot more damage. Also, after a Flip Kick, you can chain it about 4 or 5 times (Flip Kick–>22S–>Flip Kick) then into 22S M–> Dash–>22S–> Cartwheel–>22S–> Somersault–>whatever
5)Start using her Command grab more when your opponents turtle up from trying to block jill! It crosses up as well.
Overall, not bad in the slightest!

I train quite my combos, but I have mental block when I sit down to play it seems that I forget everything I trained and then I watch my matches I remember what I should do …=/
I will use the more somersault and feral dash, surely!

I liked your hitconfirms with Spitfire, so if it works for you, then it’s fine. The only problem I seem to have with it is that it takes awhile to come out so a couple characters can punish your assist call and zone you out a bit.

On your gameplay
0) Your Skrull and hawkeye are very self-sufficient, so even when Jill dies, you still do well. Which is great for a Jill team to have.

While looking at your gameplay, I notice You have what I like to call “twitch fever”. Your trying to get into Feral Crouch, but your pressing 22S in an odd rhythm so that it either doesn’t register. Also, you seem to be pressing it 3 times instead of two in that odd rhythm. Stay calm, and keep your Down Down S motions at a fast, yet consistant tempo.

Work on your hitconfirms. I noticed throughout some of your vids, whenever you got a clean hit, you either converted it into a minimal damage combo, or didn’t follow through. After a Somersault, convert your combo into TWO jump loops and H,4H,Cart,etc. after that. This all ties together with getting used to 22S more.

You play Jill very cautiously, which sometimes lets your opponents zone you out. Jill’s BEST position in a match is in the start of the round, you should be pressuring them from even then, don’t give them space to do anything. Don’t be afraid to abuse her tools. Use 22S much more often and use your assists. 22S–>Dash–>22S is very effective. With this comes using proper mixups with her as well. Alot of the combos you do can be extended.

Whenever you went for a reset, it was a bit lackluster and a larger gamble (for example, If any of your opponents neutral Tech s.S you, you would have got hit). Go for Double Cartwheel Forced Bounce resets or Air tech–>22S–>M–>22S–> Dash–> 22S–> overhead resets.
5)Try not to use Jill’s Light attacks in her combos, they scale her damage pretty bad. Her Feral Crouch hitconfirms and her s.M and c.M are far better hitconfirms.

I noticed you also like to use her Double Knee Drop alot, this is a common Jill player bad habit (even I did it for awhile haha). Jill should NEVER be in the air unless she’s blocking something or evading something. Try not to DKD on your way down since it’s hitbox is very bad.

Try incorporating Hawkeye’s assist into Jill’s neutral Game. Don’t be afraid to call it and go for a command dash mixup!

Finally, for a suggestion, why not change skrull’s assist to Orbital Grudge or Tenderizer? Tenderizer allows you to setup great incoming mixups that strengthen jill’s already strong incomming mixups and Oribital Grudge allows a GREAT combo extender, and a great neutral game assist that also allows really good mixups. I feel that your use of Stone Smite reduces jill’s damage ouput.
