damn, i knew they would be gd, but the synergy is just retarded. it’s like capcom knew everyone would want to pair these guys up so they made sure they would work well together.
i don’t think vergil is better than wesker at all. but i’ll gladly here your reasoning if you feel that way.
I’ve been playing around with Vergil for a while, and this guy is nuts. His normals are extremely high priority, and he is extremely difficult to counter-poke. Anti-airing with LMxxRising Sun is hysterically fun.
I also feel where as Wesker can be run away from, between Vergil’s insane length normals and his tracking teleports, Vergil always seems like he’s capable of chasing you down. Swords Super is really good, and again adds to that claustrophobic feeling Vergil gives you.
All around what he has over Wesker though is a better mixup game with better teleports and better presence over the whole screen. I think Wesker’s gonna settle to probably right where he was in Vanilla. Top 10, but he loses to 8-9 other people who are all above him.
its not like wesker vs trish was impossible to begin with anyways.
As long as Wesker has his gun, he’ll be better then Vergil (the command grab helps too).
That said, Vergil fills alot of other roles that Wesker does not.

If you’ve ever watched an anime in your life you should know that swords > guns.
I also have a hard time believing Wesker is gonna hit Vergil when Vergil laughs at projectiles slowly before cutting them in two.
lol people still overrating normal’s that cancel projectiles. the risk isn’t even worth it.
What if the gun is named after a sword?
If you are telling me you can cut a gunshot on reaction… I would really like to see that.
And even if you did, you just wiffed a normal with among the highest recovery in the game. Remember, you can’t cancel wiffs in the same way as usual.
I think Vergil/Dante/Wesker is the best and the true Team Trenchcoat.
Vergil can either go cross up teleport/beserker slash mayhem with Dante’s Weasel Shot or unblockables with Samurai Edge…or use the Samurai Edge as an OTG which GREATLY increases Vergil’s damage output and mix up/reset potential.
Onto Dante, he probably takes the most skill to use fficiently here, but simple unblockables with Samurai edge or basic Dante gameplan will work (he doesnt even really need assists, imo)
x factor Shin Wesker to clean things up.
it wasn’t, but her keepaway was annoying to say the least. with vajra, it just makes the fight more easier or even in our favor.
when I use bastards in trenchcoats… I prefer Drones at my back…

The instant you think you got Sentinel under control is when he 'splodes you… 
Seriously, don’t underestimate the robot, he has a habit of stealing wins he really doesn’t deserve to.
Vajra assist makes every character better
Tron is a tank too, and actually probably the best one of them on point even after her nerfs (why…) she does still have a lot of her stuff intact combined with a few new things, she got nerfed but she was better than all the other tanks before by a large amount, now it’s just a bit less. Sentinel is the only one you should use on a competitive team anymore though, his assist is great and he’s probably the best of the tanks without any assists so he’s an ok anchor. Tron and Sentinel are 1 and 2 of the tank characters but they have different roles now. If you have to give them rankings though Sent is probably #1 because of his assist, but Tron is #1 on point.
I would use Thor, Sentinel, or Hulk. They all have alot of redeeming qualities and are not worthless on point.
I wouldn’t use Nemesis or Tron. They don’t help your team much if at all, and are substantially substandard on point.
It was a joke saying he would cut Wesker AND his bullet in two. And yeah I would not recommend whiffing those normals lol when a teleport can do the job lol.
And as far as tanks…Hulk, Thor, Sent and Chris are probably your most reliable tanks. Task too, I forgot he has dumb health lol
