honestly, if they want one, i m thinking of just letting him get his n64 smash tournament, and chris get his doa4 tournament for the asian american housing association. so i guess i ll just talk to AAHA about that, and set things up.
the smash tournament for HKN is being setup by our smash division.

Jerry, you need to stop making all the calls youself. Many people have been vouching for T5 since the first illinites. You need to realize that weâre actually a organization and not a âJerryâ and Illinites isnât a âJerry Dayâ, and start listening to other people for a change. God DAMNIT Jerry, stop unilaterally deciding what games weâre going to hold for our tournaments. We discussed it on Friday: GG and T5 are the logical choices for this one.
We JUST ran 3S, so we donât need to do it again. I know we used to have GG at every tournament, but thatâs completely selfish. Itâs retarded and completely self-centered to have just the games that we have a chance of winning in.

On a serious note, I originally thought 3s and GG were good candidates for the next tournament solely on the basis of the unexpectedly good turnout we had last weekend. But I had already forgotten that we had recently done 3s. Last weekend. GG and T5 sounds good to me.
Although, I would push for games the club hasnât done ever. Like MvC2 and DoA4. 
EDIT: Oh, and the last tournament we did will be the last one I participate in while coordinating. That shitâs just not right.

the only thing against marvel i have to say is that, i dunno how many people on campus actually play marvel, let alone know how to seriously play. its a pretty old game. i mean ST is too, but ST is more of a classic than marvel.

we are still doing tekken and gg, though the only concern with tekken i have is, honestly how many people still play? we are suppose to bring people to illinites, so that means hold games that a lot of people will show up at.
if you look at the roster of people who played tekken back then, and who play tekken now, most of the people even dropped the game. i asked some of the people who use to show up at meetings last year and our tournaments, and most of them donât even play anymore. if your expecting a sudden burst of brand spanking new tekken players from when the game was released, i am iffy on how many new players there are.
i thought soul calibur will bring people, and yosh, if you read back, i wasnât the one who suggested soul calibur first, it was scott. though i was the one pushing for it, so fine blame it on me. actually, i was the one pushing on another smash tournament with guilty gear.
in the end, nothin i was pushing for got through. who the fucks not listening to people now?
hey guys, just a little update about this weekend.
ill be coming into town sometime on friday evening. im not sure who ill be bringing yet. most likely ill be staying at aobâs house, but weâll see. thereâll be another carload of people from chicago coming on sat. there were posts made in the missouri and stl threads, but im not sure if anyone will come from those places.
anyone/everyone coming to the tourney is welcome to stay at aobâs house friday or saturday, but if any of you guys are willing/able to house the gg people that would be a good opportunity for more gg casuals.
im all for some casuals friday evening when i get in, if you guys are up for it.
can you guys be at the venue around 11am on sat with your setups and help set up for the tourney? the smash tourney will hopefully be starting around noon. and i hope to get guilty gear started around 1pm (registration 11-1).
james, yosh, scott and me said we could use their/our setups if i remember correctly. correct me if im wrong. if anyone else can provide a setup let me know. 
lastly, there seems to be interest in 3rd strike. so i may run a 3rd strike tourney. ill bring my copy of the game, but i think id like at least 2 setups for this game. lets plan to start this tourney around 5 or 6pm.
