I can report them to the better business bureau or i can contact paypal and retract my payment if I didn’t get what i ordered.

Why do people still respond to Apathy? C’mon, you already know he’s going to side with Udon. Udon could go around murdering people, and he’d make up an excuse: “it’s stressful being in the comic book industry, those dead people’s families need to stop complaining, they don’t know what Udon was going through.”
I’d be pretty pissed if I paid $100 for something that fell apart right away. Usually when that happens, you take it up with some sort of consumer protection agency if the company tells you to “F-off”. 6/400 is also pretty high in terms of defects, especially when you take into account that it’s almost definitely underreported. Apathy will never be a good businessman, because Udon is the one handling this intelligently. Trying to make the customer happy, and understanding frustration on their part increases the chances that the person will forgive you and take another chance with you. Attacking the customer and claiming you’re the one providing the service will only lead to abandonment by your customer base if they hear how you’re handling it. Props to udoneko, and Apathy, you should shut up and watch how he handles it, you’re acting like a stupid little child. Grow up.
We will be replacing all the books that has a problem.
So far, we have seen less than 10 out of the 500 copies printed. So it is not a major printer error but more like isolated binding issues. I know it is frustrated on your end when your book falls apart. It is equally frustrated to us when we get these kinda complaints.
We do not print or bind the books here ourselves. A printing plant, a pretty big company, did our printing. And I have already flagged that problem with them coz these books also cost us a fortune to make (especially with the low print run of 500 only, the foil stamping of the dust jackat, 450 pages 85 lb gloss paper stock, etc etc.)
We are always trying our best to bring you a good quality product. However, there are cases that is out of our hands like this minor binding mishap. Neither UDON nor the printer want this to happen. But it does happen. So we will be sending out replacemen books to those who would file their cliam with proof (I just need pictures of the fall apart book sent to SFD or myself) and we will get you a replacement. It will take some time for us to process, but you will get a replacement.
We are not saints. And no one in this world can get away with murder. But we are here doing our best to give you our service.
