the difference of stage speeds seems to affect only emulation, also that list applies only for that version of ST, world version, and most important emulated on GGPO, since the default savestate makes u start in the character selection screen.
I could use some help getting information on various controllers. Please check the list in this thread and see if you have any of the controllers listed!
Ah ok, but the stages still run at different speeds on CPS2 hardware don’t they? I recall playing at an arcade recently and while the difference in speed didn’t seem as pronounced as it is when emulated, Claw’s stage was definintely fast as hell. The boards were US T2 I think, and playing on Claw’s stage made it feel like someone had put it on T3 or something
What is the point of having an arcade board that isn’t being put into use?
If you say to preserve it for collection, that a redundant statement as plastic will yellow and brittle with age, metal with oxidize and rust.
The Treasure is what is in the board itself.
Haha, and as a collector, even before I started this project I had many A-Boards I didn’t know what to do with. That’s simply what happens when you buy CPS2 games. Some of them just come with A-Boards, whether you like it or not. Eventually you have a stack of them. For what it’s worth, out of the hundreds of people I’ve spoken with about this project (both players and arcade nuts) you are the first to care about A-Boards. You get a cookie!

As a matter of practicality, I like the fact that A-boards are not being destroyed, but rather converted for the sake of convenience and playability in the modern age.
The thought of an A-board sitting on the shelf NOT being played bothers me much more.
I already have you down. Anyone else can either send me a message or e-mail me. That reminds me, I need to update the FAQ in the OP. Wizard authorized me to sell via Tech Talk, but I should put up a post in the Trading forum being as more than just tech talkers go there.

I’m hoping before the year is up, but keeping up with UD-CPS2 is a fairly full plate. I actually don’t have a price at the moment, as I havn’t crunched all the numbers for production yet. A point of reference is Laugh’s PS2 to DB15 converter which has been popular w/ the supergun crowd for a while and still sells for $50 each. The DIY version for supergun builders should be cheaper than that, but the other versions will be that much or more. More info on that later
EDIT:
Updated the OP with ordering info. I’ll be booked up for a while, but people can at least lock in their order position when they contact me.
