Considering that the placing of who is on there is accurate of what might happen in a tourney of those people and the fact that you posted the list in multiple forums in a serious manner are both indicative that you were serious about the tier list.

What did i write that was so out of line? What gives you the right to bash on players like Jack and GTU? If you can state your opinion about them, why can’t I share my thoughts on John? Believe me, Allen. I know how it is to be the guy who messes around with others and genuinely believes that no harm is being done. The point is, whether or not someone is joking, you can’t control how others react to those jokes. “John was only joking” doesn’t make Matt’s reaction to the tier list any less valid. I just wanted to speak up for those who took offense to the list.

In my original post, though it was pretty obvious that I was talking about the list, I never mentioned John’s name nor did I resort to personally attacking him. Now I didn’t do that to be sneaky. I purposely avoided addressing John directly because I wanted to show my displeasure with the LIST-not with John as a person. Whether I like him or not is irrelevant-which is why I never mentioned his name. Remember. He’s the one who directly addressed ME in his reply. HE was the one who called ME a hypocrite. I guess I made a mistake by replying to his post. Whatever. All I wanted to do with my post was to encourage others to recognize the people who used to play at ZZ and share some memories. And from the look of things, it’s working. So I’m done.

Anyways, I played a little DDR when I first came here and tried CVS2 once because I played it at my friend’s house once or twice (and rocked him using blanka because we were both playing the game for the first time and I picked the easiest character :tup: ). One day I saw Cavin rocking everyone, including me, so I decided to try K R4 blanka, hells yeah. Not only did he OCV me but I did a desperate lvl 3 direct super and he DPed it :(. Doug laughed, I cried/died a bit inside. My team went from K anyone anyone Blanka to K Sakura Hibiki Blanka then A ken blanka chun (ken because of the easy mash custom, blanka because he’s blanka, and chun because I saw cavin use chun) and it’s been that team for the past 2 years :). Didn’t really talk to anyone, I asked doug a few stupid questions that I’m sure annoyed him. Noticed that I had a class with allen and I saw him in the ZZ quite often so I started to talk to him. Met Eugene through allen I think. At first I think all 3 of us were about equal. Then they both practiced or something like that and got a LOT better than me… F you guys ;). Jack was an odd and violent fellow that liked to hit Allen a lot and that was A-OK in my book. Dentron came to the game knowing nothing but it’s f’ing insane how fast he improves at everything. One day he activates with sakura and throws out 4 fierces, a fireball, another fierce then a super and the next day he’s doing sho sho sho sho sho. Good games man, glad you learned how to RC like me, maybe now you can REALLY play team khoa. I got to know John as the guy who works at the ZZ with green hair. He showed me all his cool mix-ups (i.e. 2player glitch ken short hurricane kick x 2 crossup). Course you can always call out his raging demon set ups ;). Bickering aside, you me and dentron will always be a good match for each other. Marcus, nate, Ace came in a trio, but now we’re lucky to see even two at the same time. Nate stopped playing CvS2 and moved on to bigger and better things… 3rd strike. Ace the rmst (random mashing shit talker). It was great that you would mash during my customs because you KNOW I could never finish em :P. And don’t think I forgot “watch out when he rolls and don’t jump in, that’s the ONLY time he activates.” Oh and Marcus, I should never be able to beat you, just know that when I do it’s definately luck. It’s always fun seeing your elena (specially in CVS2). Doug… don’t deny the fact that you hated me when I started playing, it’s all good man I don’t blame you. That one time you played S groove and I laughed everytime sakura dodged (because I thought it was funny) and after you beat me you were like “Whats so funny now HUH?” Anyways, I can’t be mad because now I find it very amusing when you do stuff like that to other scrubs. Eliot, stop using that noob groove where you can block pressing backwards and forwards :rolleyes: . Ben I, you used k ratio 4 sakura, I have nothing else to say. Dorien: The other Magneto player that I enjoyed playing against. He got a lot better, too. I don’t really see him around anymore, though.

Allen: This guy is cool. I don’t remember how we started talking, but he was always pretty chill. Maki is dope. cvs skills seem to have taken a sudden leap recently.

John: My roommate Wepeel. He’s sick on the guitar. I really didn’t know him before living with him, and he ended up being cool.

Jack: aka ANUSINVASION. I really haven’t talked to him much, but he seems like a nice guy. Pink Makoto! Whenever I used to see him on ring road I would always yell “ANUS INVASION!” I think it used to embarass him. In retrospect, I can see why.

Khoaker: Haven’t talked to him much eather, but seems really chill. Chun-li’s jumping lk is stupid.

Matt: NorCal, woot! A-Blanka/Sak/Bison for me, yarr!

Marcus: Used to be ICS, but he left us for English. =( Down parry = hit confirm xx SAII :smiley: Cool guy overall.

Doug: This guy owned me numerous times in 3s and cvs2, and even a few times at marvel. =O Glad I never [hopefully] got on his bad side. =]

Kavin: Doesn’t really come around ZZ much anymore. Nice guy, gave me advice on which classes to take. Fun to watch because he plays random chars in P groove.

Elliot: Cool guy. Gave me advice in 3s, even though I was a Chun-whore. P-Vice is fun to watch.

Abel: One of the first guys to welcome me into ZZ. Funny guy, doesn’t come to ZZ much, since he doesn’t go to UCI anymore.

Archie: Doesn’t go to UCI anymore, either. Nice/funny guy. I think he was actually the first guy to welcome me to ZZ.

Ben: Makoto SAI. He’s the first guy that I saw use Makoto at ZZ. Seems like a nice guy. He doesn’t show up to ICS104 =O

There’s a guy who plays 3s that started showing up more frequently. Asian guy, plays a lot of chars. Kinda pale-skinned? I don’t really know him, but he seems like a nice guy too.

Brian: The happiest fighting game player in the world. Brian is dope, but he doesn’t come to ZZ anymore b/c he graduated, so I only see him when I go bother him at his apartment. =]

Eugene: I went to jr high with this guy. Cool guy, but seems to have disappeared.

David: [mrgeesehoward?] havent talked to much, seems like a nice guy.

Chris: Graduated. I remember getting beasted on by his Vice many times.

I didn’t even realize the Zot was closing after this quarter. Kinda sad when I used to go there so often… btw this is Kavin if you don’t know already.

Been at UCI for almost 5 years now (yea that long)… honestly I never really started playing Street Fighter until I got into UCI haha, but yea I was there for the good old CvS1 days… where all the annoying people used 4 ratio 1 characters. All you old people know who I’m talking about. I’ve met most of you through the years and its been fun, and you guys got a lot better. If I haven’t spoken to you then it doesn’t mean I hate you… I’m just not one to strike up conversation. Guess I’ll be trying to get away from FFXI and go to zot some more in the upcoming weeks.

But yea, hope to play some more before it closes.
