Anyways, I’m a bit late, but I had fun Friday. It was nice looking at a place to live in next year, and it getting raped on consoles kinda put me at ease. I still have a long way to go before I become even a half-decent player (moreso that that bad-smelling guy) in SFIV, but still.
I would’ve talked earlier, but I went home this weekend, and the bad weather knocked out our power for several hours, but also killed our Internet connection the entire weekend. Lame.
Also, if there are any more sessions like Friday (without the whole staying up until 6 bit), barring studies, I’m looking into them.
360 + 180. I start on the right and end on left taking the obvious path. I only get it like once out of like 30 tries. It’s a lot harder than in 3s.
Playing with infinite meter in training mode is so fun. New favorite combo - srk, fadc, EX srk, fadc, EX hadou, super. So stupid looking hahaha. Is there a way we can set the super bar to infinite for a versus match? Think of the possibilities. Srk, cancel, dash rushdown til you die from chip damage.

How is it that it’s harder to do a standing 720 in IV than it is in 3S? I thought they dumbed down the motions for everyone.
That dinosaur stick is is one nice arcade stick. During spring break, me and my stepdad are going to try to make one similar to it, at least I hope we do.
I’ll try the 720 out and see.

Considering Viper’s ascent (and Guile’s descent) up the tiers, I’m not fully trusting Prima’s list. Don’t get me wrong; if this came out months ago (like, when we first got the machines), then maybe this would be fully right. Just a couple of spots here and there, and Prima’s essentially got what today’s tier list is.
I mean… I wonder how Guile’s Ultra got an 8. I’ve essentially seen no set-ups that don’t involve your opponent whiffing badly, or maybe people just hate the execution, or maybe the MUGA doesn’t have really advanced Guile players who know how to chain into it. I also don’t get how these numbers add up to anything… I mean, it’s not like you can average them out to get what’s there on the table.
Oh well. I’d probably only read the guide for movelists and stuff like that, but for a trustworthy tier list? I’d rather listen to the players rather than the guide makers.
