Hey I’m new to SRK. Transferring in via TAG from Cosumnes River College majoring in Psych. Looking forward to playing some SFIV with my fellow Aggies.
Oh, that guy. I know him as the guy who tends to smell kinda bad; I mean, we guys do tend to not make the Cave smell like a bed of roses, but he has a rather… oh, how to put it, peculiar odor about him. I burned freakin’ five tokens against his MvC2 team today; won only twice with Jill/Tron/Cable this time against him (lost all three times with my one-shot team)… -sigh- Guess I’m losing my MvC2 touch for a better CvS2 touch.

Danny, I’m assuming you got a PM from Derrick? You know I’d be happy be it you guys get a machine that way or from Aksys themselves. Actually, it’s probably best you guys get it from Derrick because really, that game NEEDS to be played on sanwa sticks/buttons with a 720p screen. Buying just the board and putting it into a mediocre cabinet doesn’t really do the game justice, IMO (that’d be like putting SFIV into horrible cabinets).
I’m pretty sure BB will make profit like SFIV has, as people are always looking to play new games. I’m more than willing to run bi-weekly or possibly weekly tournaments in order to create hype/garner interest in the game. You have no idea how stoked I am if this becomes a reality. :lol: I’d probably be at MUGA 1-3 times a week playing BB. Hell, I’ll probably learn SFIV in the process (even though I hate that game D:) since I’m already there.
Nah, Aure, Andrew, and Dennis just randomly came over at 8 and asked me if the download was done. I checked and it looked like it would be done in 4 hours.
I checked it again just now and now it’ll be done in 8 hours. Which is fine by me, I’d rather get my sleep

Me and Aure kept playing Andrew CVS2 money matches and playing with all random grooves and characters thinking we would stand a chance that way since Andrew only knows a third of the characters. Me and Aure only won once each out of like a billion matches. So then we decided we’re better off playing with our real teams. We got OCV’d by A-Ken and A-Vega. We need some more roll tackle.
Also I’m trying to obtain SF4 too. I’ll be staying up for another two hours to get this shit done.

When’s the next SFIV tournament??
Far as I can tell, it’s the tournament that frat is holding next Friday. $25 entry fee, top finisher gets a 360, copy of SFIV and something else; second place gets a $25 gift card to Gamestop. Or was it $50? I dunno. Seems pretty crappy that you get back your entry fee in a restrained form for finishing runner-up if you do.
Somewhat better question: who’s the girl that plays Viper? I’m trying to get everyone’s names, but it’s somewhat unnerving when you can see faces but remember their FG characters over their names (e.g., “the guy who plays Urien”).
yeah some frat is holding a tourney on the 20th. and theres a gamestop tourney the next day. im gonna host one on the 27th and it will feature multiple games aside from SF4 (CvS2, MvC2, and 3S). I already got people to host those games. Ill run the SF4 one.

Also, dp fadc f+hk xx ultra damage versus straight ultra from the ground (w/ sagat again)
And the damage on Boxer -> straight ultra vs headbutt into ultra
and headbutt into ultra vs c.lp c.lp c.lk xx headbutt into ultra
And Ryu’s j.mp into super vs j.mp into ultra (half and full).
I just want to know how many c.lp or c.lk I get in before the extra hits scale the ultra damage so low that it is no longer worth it.
Could you also do a guaranteed jump in tick -> throw with the person defending spamming a command throw instead of a tech to see who’s goes off first? From the matches I’ve seen at UCD, the lp+lk throw tends to beat out the command throw in tick situations.
Oh one last thing, can you go through the new characters and anti-air fadc into ultra and tell me which ones land all the way through and which ones… well… suck?
