From what some friends tell me, SF4 is getting really crazy in Japan, with the Japanese National SF4 tournament in January… Many famous ST and 3S players are learning the game just for this tournament alone, so it will be really exciting and fun. Around 150+ players will compete I believe…
Wow. I just woke up and realized that I have two research reports due today, a test today, a final today, and an experimentrix experiment from 3 - 4 pm. Wtf is this shit? I JUST WANT TO HEADBUTT INTO AN ULTRA!
If there is enough interest, I would most definitely be willing to run a tournament, given the fact that we can figure out some sort of event mode for the SF4 cabinet.
To anyone who has access to the machine:
Can I work with you to figure out some sort of way to get event mode to run tournaments? I have a friend who is from Korea that can help us as well. Some publicity would be great as well, such as maybe newspaper or signs (how about the big SF4 sign on the stairs of MU?) marketing a tournament? This would benefit the player-base as well as revenue for the MU.
I will need all of your support guys :), but weekly or bi-weekly tournaments for SF4 would be great, and I would be willing to come on a weekly basis and do my best to host these tournaments. It just depends on people’s schedules… but I was thinking a time such as…

I can get you access, but only if you promise not to use guile in the tournament. Also, I looked around in the test mode and did not find any event mode setting, this may be due to the weird Korean setup. If you guys can find out how to setup the event mode, I'm all for a tourney (preferably one that involves other games as well: CVS, 3S, and MVC still exist).
I think family fun might have the same cabinet setup as we do, if you know someone there ask them how to set it up.
