If you make it that winners can’t switch…then once character specific ultra weaknesses are revealed, it’s very easy to counter pick.

i think as a general rule ultras can be switched until we see how the game is like.

Hey there,
I came across your tournament by searching on google. I would definitely like to join this for the experience and to see where I stack up. I will most likely enter both the brawl and SSF IV tourneys. The brawl with a friend of mine and SSF IV I’ll join the singles tournament. Anyway I noticed the equipment listing however I see that the SSF IV is on PS3? Or do you just have a PS3 and the console it’ll be on is Xbox? Also in the brawl tournament if we bring our preferred controller are we allowed to use them? I’m not sure if I’m allowed but you can add me to the list of attendees. I assume the cost will still be 15 bucks at the door, so no worries if it is.

I don’t think we’ve done brawl in two OVS…depends I guess. It is much more work and revolves around what Brian wants, lol.

We should have an even distributions of ps3s/360s with ssfiv.

Ranking System Update (New):

1st - 10
2nd - 7
3rd - 5
4th - 4
5th - 3
7th - 2
9th - 1

How Scaling of points works:

if you finish in 9th or better take the points beside and multiply that by the number of players that entered the tournament

Example: (Sorry Jordan but your my guinea pig)
Overture 6 Singles - Yummy (1st) = 10pts * 24players = 240 points
Overture 6 Teams - Yummy (Team Jessica) (5th) = 3pts * 8players(teams) = 24
Total Points Earned at Overture 6: 264

For those that don’t join the teams, you can see that the points earned for teams is significantly less, but it still rewards some points for joining the tournament.
Overall Ranking is based on seasonal stats:
Since there’s been a tournament just over once every month, it will be based off of the previous 3 tournaments.

OV4: Yummy 3 * 27 = 81
Yummy 10 * 6 = 60
Total: 141
OV5: Yummy 1 * 32 = 32
Yummy 3 * 9 = 27
Total: 59
OV6: 264
Grand Total: 141 + 59 + 264 = 464 / 3 = 155 Pts

This is likely the way tournaments are going to be ranked from now onwards which may only be 1 tournament but mike can most likely take over and use this.

New players will be randomly seeded unless a top 8 vouches for their skill level and even then they will only get a spot out of the top 16 (some exceptions may apply eg. if Dan ever comes home)
