I am interested in any team tournament offered at the MU. Especially 3S and GGXX, if it happens.
However, I feel bad for anyone on my team next week since I’m going to have to May and 12 it up all tournament.

Team GGXX sounds fun, but I fear that we’ll have lots of stacked teams. Tanaka/Cliff/<insert-another-kick-ass-person> would be scary. And we might have those funky situation when certain people don’t get picked for teams. Like in 5th grade PE softball – it sucks to be that person who’s last to be picked.
I say we just draw random teams for GGXX, so nobody is left out, and teams might be more balanced. Of course, this probably might be frustrating for the better players who get stuck with the less experienced players who rob them of victory. Which sucks, kinda like 8th grade flag football where you drop the winning TD pass… but we won’t get into that.
Teams sound fun, but could potentially offend people. I personally stand by the whole random deal. Not that my opinion matters that much, considering that I can’t make it to tournaments. =P
3s 3 on 3 random team battle + singles tourney. 3s goes hella fast compared to other games…
doubt enough ppl would enter to make enough teams though.

Hopefully it is not random teams…I’d hate to be in a team who cannot win with 2 ppl first round. Some matchups are pretty impossible, like me vs venkat (unblockable & cr. fierce)
Not having random teams in GGXX wouldn’t bother me too much, the skill gap between Davis regulars and the top people is gradually narrowing down. And a team can’t choose the same character again, so we’d have versatile matchups…no complaining about the garbage of one character etc.
Even if let’s say, Tanaka/Randy/Cliff were a team who could use their best characters in the tourney…a lot of people have a good shot at beating them in one match. If the Davis regulars can’t take them down, they’ll just have to work harder until they can. That should be enough motivation to improve.
But I guess since these tourneys are primarily for fun, we could pull out names out of a hat or something and decide teams.

Anyways, my car is getting fixed yay. I might show up tomorrow or next week depending if I steal a car. I’d rather have a 2v2 instead of a 3v3 ggxx tourney, but do whatever.

Anyways, if we ever do team battles for XX we should just do 2v2 rather than 3v3. It would be better balanced that way. Also, random teams wouldn’t be any good, nor would super stacked teams… which is why two man teams are better than three man teams in such a small tournament.
EDIT: Scamp, you must participate in the parody of Clifford’s avatar since you’re part of Kid Killa Crew. Pick a random fruit and drink and put “Eat.” next to them just like Clifford’s avatar and my avatar. Make sure the proportions are correct too.

I tried to make an avatar but I don’t know how to convert the file into an acceptable format, or something like that. Apparently Paint doesn’t do that automatically.
I’d just like to announce my tourney team for CvS2. It’s K-Zangief, Vega, Blanka. Or, as I like to call it, the Bizarro Tanaka team. Tanaka wouldn’t be caught dead playing any of these characters. Do you know why…?
