Hey who’s interested in playing FF:CC on friday night? Failing that, how about Third Strike? We’ve got a nice projector just waiting for us to use it.

Also note that the University battle is coming up soon. It’s still being worked on, but it looks like either Feb. 28th or March 6th is the date. Which probably means we’ll need some teams soon. (Note: Find Eric Chan, see if he can still play GGXX well.)

Sorry Randy Lew, it looks like the 3-game max per person rule is still in effect.

at UB, i wanna play 3s , and cvs2 if i can get better at it in the next few weeks. FF:CC on fridays: maybe, dont really know anything about that game though. 3s, however, of course ill be willing to play anytime.

i just read you need a gba and link cables to play ff:cc. i wont be around muga as much because my grades have taken a toll for the worst.

although someone notify me of any holdem games that occur.

Alright it looks like the official date for the winter UB is march 6th, so I guess we need to have some sort of qualifying for it. I would suggest the next monthly, but too many non davis peeps show up for it. I suggest a weekend date as it seems to bring in the most people, and people can usually work it into their schedule. But post your thoughts onto the dates. People who I think should have automatic qualifying:

Cvs2: Tony

GGXX: Chan if he ever shows up

3s: Tanaka
Hsu if he is still around

TTT: Tim, Andy, and any other koreans

MvC2: Randy

or we could have everyone compete for all availabe slots…um thats it. And since everyone is doing it Senor I need some help with cammy…holla back youngn’

I dunno. I think it’d be pretty easy to make a GGXX team without tryouts at all. We’ve got…

Myself, Chan, Tanaka, Randy, Ronald, and Hsu.

Dunno if Hsu is going to be here.

Plus there’s talk about only having one character per team. I don’t think that’ll be an official rule, but if it is either Chan will have to use his secret character that no one’s ever seen or Randy will have to play Venom.

Ronald’s got a solid Faust already. He just needs to play against the characters we’ll be playing against so he’ll have some idea of what to do.

I might be missing some players, though. There’s a possibility that some of the good players I see actually go to Davis when I think they don’t.

But if we have a qualifier, that’ll work too. Personally, though, I think it’d be way easier to just do all the other tournaments first and then see who’s left.

Yeah, best to compete for the spots. If we didn’t compete last time, Shooma would have never made the 3s team. And then no one would have ever used the phrase: “Shooma-ed.”

wow, my original post was totally lame;

i’m thinking about stopping by tommorow around 1PMish, and hanging out with ven for a while; i’m into ggxx, and would like to play some locals if possible while i’m in davis. i’ll be there from probably 1pm - 7pm or so.

i heard you guys have weekly’s, and if so, what time do they start? what day? thanks in advance

We don’t have weeklies anymore. They’re bi-weeklies now. And it’s not this week.
