parking isn’t too bad at times, it depends if there’s other events in the area going on. You can always go to the front desk and request a parking pass for the garage, just mention that you are there for the video games and you’re fine. There’s parking on the outside as well, but for some dumb ass reason you can’t park there from 11pm-4am =. I personally haven’t had any issues in finding a parking spot.
Can’t park in the BW above ground lot at night? Or can’t park on the street at night? Gotta get a pass to park in the lot?
Not a big deal. I only plan to stop in to say hi, pick up something, and buy a few rounds of drinks for whomever wants it. Since I’m not too well acquainted with the people who have come into the scene in the last year, be sure to yell if I am out to buy someone under-aged an alcoholic beverage. Don’t need to compound the ugliness.
This shit runs late, right? I mean, if I show up at midnight and buy $100 in shots, someone will drink it. Right? I was going to carpool with Pablo and buy him a few shots, but he’s busy getting drunk with his cousins and possibly getting lucky tonight. That’s how the Mex do it.
What’s the drink minimum?
Yes.
Fun night tonight even though I only played two matches. Big ups to Fae for being an awesome bartender, Frank for getting this together, and the whole NW for being tight. See ya’ll next week for another hype TW.
wow guys BUFF turnout tonight. good to see everyone
special shoutout to keith, first time out and i heard you were buying ROUNDS at the bar. well done sir
airthrow/julian blake STOP BEASTIN
Lotsa fun last night. Props to the guys (and Fae) that stuck around through breakfast in the wee hours of the morning, was definitely a good night.
Damn, ida skipped the bus had i known there would be breakfast <.<
That was probably one of the most fun tournament experiences I have ever had, seriously. I was playing with my earbuds listening to loudass metal to drown the crowd out, but when I took them off people were getting hyped! That is a good feeling. Brent had some NAILBITERS with the clock running down that were hilarious or just tight. Personally I LOVE winning by time, cus it’s rare I am not just RTSD blindly.
Thank you sir, but I can assure you that a) I am only a baby T. Hawk player when compared to Pablo “latino heat” Basilio, and b) It’s only cus the game is new. Imma have to be a LOT better to beat anybody next time.
That was fun.
Great way to open season 2. I had hella fun.
Also, Keith is the man.
sorry kkf id be down for tekken casuals but not entering for the season
Frank, is it to late to get in on some tourny wars? Me/keshtash–We have kids [Team name]
I can’t wait for the videos to come out, I missed a lot of good matches since I had to socialize, hadn’t seen a LOOOT of people in ages last night.
edit: BTW Frank could you try to unlock the taunts? Cody Taunt 5 is useful because it goes under fireballs. Here’s an unlock trick:

Great way to kick off season 2!
Had a lot of fun last night (even though it probably didn’t look like it).
I’m sorry that the camera died throughout the night. I’m in the process of getting that worked out.
Standings are updated
There are a few teams that I still need team names for (Mikhail’s team name and Rage’s team names are changed, and will be changed when their standings get updated)
Thank you to those that showed up on time, there was a DQ last night.
Remember that the events start at 7pm. I’m going to be showing up at around 5:30ish (or at least attempt to) to get everything ready to go.
Thanks to Keith for showing up and supporting the event, I hope all the newcomers had a great time, as well as some of the seasoned vets.
I’m going to be honest, everyone should just aim to arrive 30 minutes prior to their match (Match @ 7:00PM, arrive at 6:30PM. Match 11:00PM, arrive at 10:30PM).
This does:
- Makes sure you’re on time for your match (30min leeway), whether the schedule is ahead or behind.
- Gives you time to possibly get a couple warm-up games (If there are enough set-ups to permit).
- Allows Frank peace of mind while stressing about a couple dozen or so matches a night by knowing he doesn’t have to call anyone.
Videos are slowly but surely making their way to youtube.
Mac if you read this PM me. I would like to request your services.
results from last night?
Hey frank, on tournamentwars.com if you click the teams: SSFIV tab, me and Brent are still listed as team Public Sector on there, might be confusing because on standings we are correctly listed as No You Cannot (which is MUCH funnier.)
edit: Wow, just watched the first vid on youtube and the quality is VERY good. Smooth video and decent crowd coverage! You are really running things!
I’m not really feelin’ that font for the standings, Frank. As great as it is, it doesn’t belong on a white-backgrounded graphic.
