TW's 2: @ the dojo, Seth Division: 07/17/10

35 for the whole season, events are once a WEEK, but your team wont be playing every week so it isn’t necessary to make it out ever time.

Why? There’s 2 members to defeat rather than 3.

Possibly because you have the “good” players spread out across more teams, but idk.

Nevermind, you’re right, this OCV system is pretty dumb. I figured it would be something more challenging, considering the winning team doesn’t get to change their order, and lead off with the same Character/Person. I imagined it being The person has to defeat the opposing team without losing once during the entirety of the Best of 3 set (i.e. Team 1 Player 1 defeats Team 2 Players 1+2 in both sets).

In my opinion, that’s just an much more challenging OCV system, but hey, I’m not calling the shots.

I concur, people just need to step into the pit with their game faces on and be out for blood. Don’t want to get OCV’d? Step your shit up? Tryin to stop a team? Step your shit up. There isn’t one person out there that can just rape the entire scene hands down. I think it’ll be interesting to see. We’ll see how it pans out, and if it doesn’t work out well…well there’s always season 3. =]

Only one team for HDR so far? I swear almost 30 ppl voted for it to be in…where are the teams at?!

35$ is a bit steep for HDR imo, but I also have never played it seriously so in order to be competitive I’d have a lot of time to put in.

julien and i are teaming up, the Seattle Shit Talkers (can someone find this quote again? i start laughing every time i think about it lol)

and that makes two, 14 to go?

Good shit Axel/Julien

But currently with the system it’s saying (at least from my perspective) say if one person beat’s the opposing team twice it counts as two OCV’s? Am I reading that correctly (correct me if not)? Because it seems like there is the possibility of getting (Gaining 1 point for winning and gaining 2x .5 points for the two OCV’s).

That’s just what it looks like for the system up in the first post.

There is no possibility of a team getting 1 point for winning…remember they are awarded 2 points for winning.

Lead off rules are still in play just not as strict as before. But it gives the losing team a chance to answer back in case they guess wrong and get counter picked. In short, I see people that have made the playoffs really trying to get serious. The only difference now is people need to get serious for Season 2, and just hit the blocks running with that mindset of “I’m going to win no matter what, and do what it takes…I’m going to BE a winner”.

So is there a discount for people that are entering both games like there was for season one? I don’t remember seeing that in the thread.

I’m just going to make HDR $25/player with the $10 fee, since a lot of people I talked to last night are interested in HDR but aren’t interested in dropping 35 bucks…

Yeah, that games goes by pretty quick to drop thirty five bux on.

oops i threw a fireball and he jumped, gg

Still not sure if I wanna play.

Elias: Don’t tell Dugg, okay?

?

you mean mandel?

I suggest the accustomed HDR players team up with new players. It would help the new players develop their skills and it would also provide better competition for the experienced.

i think he was just hypothesizing and wasn’t actually there.

what’s a nigga muggish?

I don’t know how well I can succeed in a game that doesn’t have a character as frustrating to play against as El Fuerte.

T. Hawk should be right up your alley then. Fuck T. Hawk.
