Twinkle queen game/character guide : clash of the visual novels!

Since no one has done one yet I figure I would take the liberty of making a guide. Characters are listed by their anime/visual novel. The button scheme is set like tatsunoko 3 attacks, and in place of a partner button, it is a dedicated parry button the three attacks are light, medium, and heavy, or A,B, and C, respectively. Each character has 2 supper moves which are preformed by double qcf+C and double qcb+C. the throws and throw techs in this game are performed by pressing A+B, and you can switch out partners by pressing B+C. yo can perform parries by pressing the parry button right before an attack hits. As of now I have yet to parry a combo. They can also be performed in the air. Also there is dash canceling in this game with several characters, like sousou . sadly, dash cancels leave you vulnerable to throws and are for the most part unsafe.

? has a command dash
? can combo into qcf super
? qcb super stuns on hit allowing for combos

Mashiro
? command dash (reverse dp+ any atk)
? has a shoryuken
? overall not that good of a character.
? has projectile
? looks like she has very low health and doesn?t do that much damage.
? Supers don?t really do substantial amounts of damage.

Ameri
? has a flying dash
? has a dive kick (df+c)
? her qcf super can be combed from her dive kick, it is also unsafe on block
? her qcb supper lets her shoot fire from her hands. Its safe on block since in order to get full damage this has to be done from midscreen.
? Qcb+any atk is a command jab. Doesn?t do much damage but can be used to equalize space between you and your opponent
? Dp+any atk is a multi hit fireball
? Hcb+any atk is a powered up pimp slap. The light and medium versions send your opponent in the air to be juggled by a tornado spin(qcf+any atk) and the heavy version knocks them down.

? has an air2ground fireball (qcf+any atk)
? air2air fireball= jump medium
? has a seismic knuckle ([dwn/df/qcf]+heavy)
? charge motion for ground projectile (back,forward+any atk.)
? magic twister (charge down, up+ any atk.)
? floating dash
? exploding bubble (qcb+med.) good for combos/ pressure. Only lasts for a little while though.

Chelsea
? Hcb + any atk is a flip/slice to your opponent. Useful in gaining ground
? Can charge her super meter via double qcb + heavy (super)or down,down + any atk
? Has a command dash double qcf +light or medium
? Can easily combo into qcf super.

Agnes
? Exploding puppets
? Anti air laser qcf+any atk
? Exploding fu*king puupets that do good damage, what more could you want?
? Excellent close range game and okizeme. Tons of mixup opportunities when your opponent is on their back.

Shin koihime musou

Sousou
? One of the best characters in the game
? Long combos that can be extended by dash cancels
? Sliding kick (df+b)
? Both supers provide for mixup opportunities and are surprisingly safe on block.
? hcb+any atk is a scythe slice that draws the oponent in

Sonsaku
? Has a command parry (reverse dp+any atk)
? Her qcf super surrounds her with a red aura. It gives you meter everytime you are hit while in this state, also decreases damage from said hits.
? Her qcb super sends flaming arrows at you and if they miss the form a flaming tower which is useful for extending combos. Or forcing your opponent into for extra damage.
? sHe has a shoryuken

Ryubi
? can throw random objects at you (rocks, banana peels, spears) via qcf and any atk.
? qcf super has a flurry of random objects and are good for anti air and zoning
? qcb super is a whirlwind that goes fullscrren covering the full height. Can be followed up with a headbutt.
? Has a balrog type head butt (dp+any atk)
? Command dash/sword lunge, knocks down on hit. good for pressure
? Good character for zoning/ screen control.

The devil on G string

Yuki
? Command grabs
? Shoots lightning (qcf+any atk)
? Has a command dash/grab

Karon
? Very mobile
? Jump + c is a flash kick
? Has twirling moves that hit low and high

Haru
? Uses a taser gun
? Has a charging takle that knocks opnent down
? Has an explosive package (dp+any atk) that can juggle into taser.

well thats everything i found after 3 days. also this is the whole cast. i havent been able to unlock the boss versions that you fight against in arcade mode and no other characters have made an appearance. if you want to add something just post it up on the thread and i will add it to the first post.

unlocking stuff**

  • i dont know how to get the ex form of the characters yet but you can unlock character voices as announcer voices by beating all battle mode and that character’s voice is available via sound options.

-if you beat the game with 2 characters from the same anime you can view thier ending art in the gallery.

Can you change the timer? I watched a match vid and both rounds went to time out…

yep in the options menu which is in english
if you arrrrrrrrrrquire this then you wont be able to read cutscene text , it will end up as jibberish. its the same if you import it and have your wii hardmodded like mine.

I finally got my copy for this game and I have to say…
… This game is amazingly fun.

Looks like you can pick the EX/Boss version of the characters. [media=youtube]TbRPAjf_uzE[/media]. It also seems you can change the announcers voice to female.

So the game has no secret characters and only 12 =( that makes me mad actually. The game is cheap on amazon though so i might pick it up.

hey guys, messing arround in training mode and found that karon has an infinite. for those of you in the fg community that dismiss this game as trash: dont be decived by graphics… this is coming from a company that never made fighters ever. after more rigourus testing with the game ive concluded that although it lacks things: juggling, air combos, online play and has some design flaws, if you really sit down with this game it is actually awesome. i’d be so bold as to say if tvc didnt have air juggles they would be near or at the same level. hats off to milestone. also i might start holding sessions if so you are in nyc pm me, i wanna try and get a community built for this game!

though it was inane, i was hoping their wouldn’t be one. Wonder how long before glitches to be discover.

Karon has an infinite?
Can you prove this?
From what I’ve been testing with all the loops even the ground based ones, allow characters to flip out after a certain period of time.
The only exception is Karina’s obvious bubble loop.

Anyway this is what I got so far in research on this silly ass game:

Sousou and Ryubei tag combo, beginning is basically showing Sousou meterless loops with 63214B, I’m not good enough to combo 5A 623A off Ryubei’s dash cancel loop when they flip out in the air (it combos):

ive gotten up to 30 hits using the light kick and medium hcb spin–>dash loop with no sign of auto block or jumping unless you time the dash wrong. unfortunately my capture card broke and i have no means of recording it and i only hit 40 by luck. my execution= poor. but like i said it shows no signs of the opponent flipping out but hitting the next rep recuires you to dash out of the previous one on time.

I played this game for kicks when me mate brought it around (my TV is so old, we had to play this in black and white XD), and I must say, for all its inadequacies, it was really fun playing four player battle royale mode… :smiley:

The characters I enjoyed the most were Sonsaku (fire arrows for the win) and the hard-hittin’ sword girl (Chelsea?). Too bad there aren’t more characters from their respective franchises… :stuck_out_tongue:

Uh you do realize dash cancels require meter right?
And even then every dash cancel loop I have done they will eventually flip out.
I mean sure Twinkle Queen’s training mode is garbage (You can’t even disable infinite meter) but come on not knowing the dash cancels take meter is sortta :V

yeah ive actually realized that… wasnt thinking straight. with that said that infinite is for training mode only
