I think I’ve said this in my earlier post way back. It’s basically just slapping a real-life texture in the background, adjusting the color balance and curves, and that’s about it. For my pieces, I usually use a paper texture as the background. You might feel that this method is “cheating” a little, heh but it’s the result that matters. And a lot of people do this. Hope that helps.

Any of you been there? Got any tips for a newbie such as myself? :bgrin: I really don’t know what to expect… all I could picture is over-crowded subways and variety shows on tv. I don’t suppose anyone knows where the Capcom building is?

what part of Japan are you moving to? i went to Japan in 7th grade for a sister city exchange program^^; we were put in a small city occupied by a bunch of rice fields, so it was a lot like our own small city. people were really chill and everyone was really nice. lol. and the school girls would go crazy when us guys waved at them. went to Tokyo for a day too. that place is NUTS! in the awesome sense. crazy crowded. but there’s a lot of variation between the people you see in these crowds. same thing with the trains. it’s a real site to see tho. no matter where you end up i’m sure you’ll be happy. good luck with the job and moving ^^
