I have totally felt what you are talking about. I’ve tried to join into conversations that “cliques” are having and just kinda gotten ignored, well that’s not quite it. It’s more like you tried to sit at the cool kids table in the cafeteria without them inviting you. I understand that I have done nothing more than post on the forum and that I haven’t gone to any sessions( due to work or just not knowing anyone) or done anything other than try to support TW’s by showing up and drinking/eating/cheering. So I haven’t earned any ones respect game wise. I understand that perfectly.
But yeah just wanted to say that I agree with you from what I’ve seen.
That said, Jacob, Jared, and Kraingkrai have been super cool and introduced me to some people and made things easier. Big thanks to those guys.
Anyone super scrubby want to team up just for shits and giggles provided I can get a guarantee from my work that I’ll be free Sat.'s during the season? I really want to get in on this, but I’m hesitant because A. I suck (but want to get better) and B. My job screws me over occasionally and I would hate to let my partner down by not being able to show up.
^It’s not about being nice…it’s about not being rude/disrespectful/mean/cruel for no reason…You don’t have to be nice just don’t be an asshole…I understand some people hold grudges over things but at least show them the dignity they deserve as human beings…some stuff really shocks me…but I don’t get in people’s face because I don’t give a fuck…but when I see it outside of me it really pisses me off and it’s gotten close to the point where I will start gettin in peoples faces…joking is one thing…berating is another…
Oh yeah and I’m comin to TW season 2 like it’s IHOP- comin hungry leavin happy
Some drama in this thread heh. I agree more with Bokkin - I think being courteous to everybody, not just the TOP players can go a long way to making new people feel more comfortable. There’s no rocket science - Treat others as you want to be treated.
Every somewhat established player is trying to team with a rookie. Perhaps there is someone in Olympia you could talk into teaming/ car pooling with you? Mike maybe?
After several hundred HDR matches with Eman (much to Mor’s annoyance…XD) I’m for sure playing. Just going to rock it like when I was 8, Honda + Ryu. Japan, WHAT. Ready for this, Matt?
I am looking to team with a beginner in HDR. Actually, I’m looking to team with anyone, but I am at a level that I could teach a other people to play ST if they are looking to start playing.
Preferring cash because I kinda don’t trust paypal…(see negro thread around Oct. as to why).
and please if you have payment for me don’t rush me down if you see i’m busy @ the venue. Just remind me that you have $$ for me and I’ll get to you. Lesson learned from Season 1.
Want my advice? Come out to the ranbat this Saturday and find these people and team up. If you don’t know what these people look like, I’ll introduce you. I have a feeling that there are more people out there that we don’t even know about, so keep looking!
What is the deadline for Seasons 2 registration? Or is it simply open registration until you hit maximum capacity?
I got a couple of people who have asked me about teaming up for HDR, and one persistent drunkard who keeps bugging me about it. I told them to pair up with other people if they’re serious about playing. My plan was to wait until a day before whatever deadline you set, then if there are 4+ slots open, I’d see about teaming up with whomever was left. I presumed that you have a cap for number of teams. And while I doubt that you’ll reach that number for HDR, I didn’t want to potentially take up a spot and deny someone else more passionate about the game from playing.
