My mistake. I meant that B denkou punch causes stagger while the A is just like it was in old tvc.
Also, 6B. I meant to type that it can combo into denkou punch now.

In old tvc the combo was inconsistent and you could only get 3 hits most of the time. It’s much easier to connect to get all 4 hits now.

Lolz @ Saki brokeness. I, too, witnessed this.

Casshern 236B is as good as we saw. Baroque that and you get a free 63214B Friender shin nibble.
Let’s not forget Casshern can also combo 6B to 421+attack tiger knees.

I should’ve tested Ippatsuman 6B to see if he can cancel into specials. Still, really happy about Ippatsuman changes that are so similar to Ken. Ironically, I was using Ken/Polymar to take out most of the players in the JPN TvC singles tourney I ran. I came to the realization that I should be good with a non-console character after Yaris brought it to my attention. I always loved playing Ken for fun. i’m wondering whats going to change with ken and batsu. i love those two. i also find it interesting that one of my best teams, saki and karas, have both been toyed with extensively. lol.

In the anime Expo build there was no chip death. I experienced this for myself against someone turtling and not push blocking.

If this has been rectified, I will be happy.

I’m very excited about the new version. I see that my post from Capcom-Unity was ported over here, so I won’t waste time on that jazz. I’m glad to see Saki getting pumped because she was severely underplayed and now she has the juice to be great. I am a bit upset about PTX getting pumped because it really sucks having to fight against a good giant player (cough ll.nd cough) and now its going to be even more of an uphill battle.

I got those while I was traveling in Asia last month. Got them specifically in Okinawa for 525 yen each. They have so many to choose from, I just had to get them! They only have Gatchaman and Yatterman characters (with reboots, too!)

In the evo build there was new music for each stage and a slightly different character select screen. Chip deaths are here to stay! CONFIRMED.

And the music aren’t related to the stage at all?

i’ve played saki pretty hard lately and i can say that the buffs are appreciated. i always felt that there was a little something lacking, and now, hopefully, there wont be. plus she kicks my arch-enemy’s ass (roll).

I wish they would stop advanced guard from removing chip damage. Chip damage is one of the most fun things in fighting games and characters like Tekkaman should be able to rely on it as part of their strategy.

Saki probably got buffed because the developers thought she wasn’t ‘easy to use’ or something silly like that.

Then again, now that the Giants can no longer be infinited, we need SOMEONE to be able to bother them.

Did nobody play with Batsu at evo!? Dammit, i wanna know the status of him! For god’s sake, please fix his fireball like how it used to be! Or if they’re gonna keep that stupid nerfed fireball at least buff him elsewhere!

Personally Im excited about these changes however they need to rethink Karas’ changes. Removal of Chun’s infinite is a plus for me biatch definately didnt deserve to have it -_-

I’m actually kind of excited about throws becoming more useful. IMO it’s one of the best new system changes. Throws were really nothing special before since they did crap damage and were very hard to land at all. Now that you can actually set up for them is great.

It seemed like she still did, but its not really much of an infinite. The opponent still moves up a bit with each rep, but it did seem easier to land in this version. J.C has a lot of hitstun now, so I was able to get 3 reps no prob. Hell, I was even able to get a cycle of it against a standing Alex.

I was thinking, now that jump C has more hitstun the “inf” will be easier:

so it will be like [Jump C, air dash C, up cancel C] and as the last C will have more hitstun it will give the opp more time to fall and more time to you to position yourself so that the opp doesnt go that high.

oh and on standing alex?? thats awesome, gotta try it when it comes out

so im gonna go on a tirade to get my man karas back some of his shit for the u.s version. like, my biggest gripe is that, okay, you basically raped my man because of his crazy offense, but the people who are gonna competitively play the game didnt necessarily need karas raped, but they need more options to deal with him. again, for maybe my third time, and more times to come, you did it right by letting the person taking damage build more meter than they use to so they can megacrash faster out of combos, but while you did that, you took away the main reasons people wanted that change. so its like, now i build much less meter, while you still build a decent amount, and you get to megacrash out of far less damaging shit anyways. since baroque does shit for damage now, and i can see it is gonna be your comeback tool still, but mostly just to be used to stay safe and for better offensive options, because it sure aint killing like it use to. i was thorougly not impressed when my fat ass red bar was used and i got shit in return.

im tryin to tell myself its gonna be a better game, even as it was when we played it, but its like, who are they making the game for? scrubs dont matter, and will just mash out anyways, and the players that care, didnt necessarily want their game raped, we wanted better defensive options, and new characters, thats it. karas is dead if he has no partner now. point blank! fuck you gonna do? no infinite, no block strings, little harder to do mega crash combos (although thats probably just a timing issue), dont build as much meter, baroque wont help you, person taking damage builds a good amount of meter so they can just megacrash out of your shitty u.s version combos now anyways. wtf!

i wish we had an idea of what stage in the game the u.s version was at, and im gonna be hittin whatever i need to real heavy, because i want some shit changed. with tvc possibly being at evo next year on the big screen, and as a supporter of the fighting game community, its got to stop somewhere. stop with the fucking nerfing, and just do other small parts better. universal snapbacks,

im still 50/50 on megacrashing a megacrash. maybe 60/40 to keep it now, since you are using your bars just to stay on someones ass, which may not work out for your benefit. oh wait, well, no, keep it in, because if you get megcrashed in the corner, its combo time, duh. yeah, im trippin. but then again…lemme think of that. i mean, since a lot of shit has changed now, its not like you will eat corner meagcrash combo death like you were once able to.

you can tone down the baroque if you want, but it seems REALLY toned down. im just thinking, that in a two vs one situation, where oh shit you connected your shit, and now you can go for a huge baroque combo, unless your doing some overly technical combo which not all characters have, your not gonna get much in return. im sorry. i was just blown when dude had like maybe 60 percent health, and i had a huuuge chunk of baroque, and it was like, nah, hes still alive. huh? it would have been instant death in the jap version, and now heres my chance for some type of comeback.

im just rantin about karas for now, as he got super nerfed. then what, theyre gonna introduce 5 new characters, and one of them will be the new karas of old. fuck that. i like playin wit that nigga, its fun, but now its like, oh, i dont have baroque for any offensive option crazines,well all i can do is mash b and assist now. lol. oh my assist is on standby, or dead, oh i can only mash b now and hopefully i have baroque to create some type of mix up, but oh wait, the entire game is against me now, and im probably just gonna die. im simplifying it out of anger, but still.
