TVC US version character changes (to be updated)

Word.

Below is what I’ve been writing up for Capcom-Unity. I’ll finish it up with the other characters tomorrow I hope. I just don’t have much time right now. Also, I have about 12 more vids to post, its just that youtube is down for maintenance right now so you can’t upload anything.

TEKKAMAN BLADE
236 + A/B/C ? TB throws out 2 knife things and dashes towards the opponent for a swift attack.

214 + A/B/C ? TB Yo-Yo! This attack is busted! TB quickly dashes forward, leaving his lance spinning behind him. He then retracts the cord. You have to switch your blocking direction to guard against this and calling an assist like Ryu/Ippatsuman/Jun/Souki seemed to create an unblockable set up if timed correctly.

[2]8 + A/B/C ? TB uppercut with follow through. This move is pretty good and is integral to his ground-air-ground combos. There might be an easier way to pull this off, but S-Kill would spill the beans lol.

Tap A/B/C 5 times ? TB crazy lance. TB starts waving his his lance above his body. This move is a great anti-air and completely covers his upperbody.

236 + AB ? Tekkaman Psychocrusher! This?is?THE?BEST?super in the game! It can punish a whiffed B attack from full screen! This move is just too good. Keits and I are actually going to make a flowchart for this move! Its that godlike. And it works on the Giants.

623 + AB ? Angle Lasers. This move is alright. It does more damage than the psychocrusher super, but isn?t as fast. Just use the other super.

214 + AB ? TB lvl 3. Just use the first super lol.

FRANK WEST
236 + A/B/C ? Baseball bat. Can be done in the air. C version cause wallbounce.

623 + A/B/C ? ZOMBIES!! (A) Behind you. (B) Behind opponent. © Falls from the sky.

214 + A/B/C ? Giant swing

421 + A/B/C ? ZOMBIE SHOPPING CART!! B and C versions cause wallbounce. C version is an OTG.

22 + A/B/C ? Escape roll.

[4]6 + A/B/C ? (A) Fake kick. (B) Thrust kick. © Swinging sweep kick.

236 + AB ? Megabuster Super

214 + AB ? Super Giant Swing. The animation is different against the giants. He picks them up and starts spinning with them held above his head.

623 + AB ? lvl 3 Super. He does the Kobun Helmet vs normal characters. vs Giants?you?ll just have to watch the vid that I put up on youtube. Lol.

5C ? Golf swing!

2B - worst move ever! It whiffs against crouching opponents. Capcom! PLEASE change the hit box on this thing!

Assist ? Frank pulls out his camera and takes a picture which does 0 damage, covers almost the ENTIRE screen, and cause a small hit stun.

OTHER CHANGES

Doronjo
[+] The grab loop still works.
[+] Bombs can still be quick dropped so she is still a good character, she just requires a bit more work.
[+] Air Rocks used to spawn above the screen, but now the spawn at the top of the screen
[-] j.B causes less hit stun now, so here rejump combos are gone
[-] Trees explode later now changing the timing on all of her good combos.
[-] 2B cause less hit stun now making hit confirmed assist calls harder.

Chun Li
[+] lvl 3 links after 623+A/B/C.
[-] Her infinites have all been removed.
[-] j.C ? jc.iad.C ? jc.iad.C no longer works. The last jc.iad.C always whiffs.

Ryu
Practically the same.

Ippatsuman
[+] Reset grab combos still work.
[-] Using 236+B in an aircombo no longer works.
[-] His lvl 3 depletes very quickly.

Megaman
[-] Weapon switches are slower
[-] Infinite has been removed

Yatterman ? 1
[-] 623+A/B/C all have more delay at the end of them
[-] 214+A/B/C still combos OTG, but it doesn?t work in the same way as before.

Jun
[+] 421+A/B/C ? 236+AB works now!

Souki
[+] Oni Transform has Super Armor again (it did not in the Evo build)!!
[+] 623+A combos after 6C. You can then link a 2C and continue comboing.
[+] Souki earns more orbs in Oni mode now.
[-] Mid screen jump combos no longer work.

Not sure what you mean by this. After 214 he does the command run, and then pressing B is the OTG slide. Is that it?

Also just FYI, Blade’s “knives” are really his lance, which he separates into 2 parts for some of his attacks.

All of this is confusing to me. Mid screen jump combos? Earns more orbs and more can be on the screen or when you get to ten, two orbs dissapear and two new ones appear? For the first one what would you do after the 2C at the end of the combo? Otg hit? Did you test out anyone elses rejump combos?

I don’t care what you say. Your constant spastic flailing, swearing and reference to your meds and exclamation point abuse makes you look like a total and utter dork. Quite frankly your posts are embarassing. Just cool it and act normal and you won’t look like an internet newbie trying to hide behind mannerisms in order to personify themselves.

Did you get any info on PTX?

Actually, in Oni mode, even at TvC 1.0, I can pretty much do a simple 7 hit jab attack on the ground prior to launcher. His ground combos are faster, at least. Now imagine him with the added mobility and more orbs.

How large is the hitbox of Frank’s 5C? Is it a reliable attack? Does his baseball bat reflect stuff?

236+B doesn’t combo? Well, at least there’s also A and C. Also, they make his awful super worse? What’s the point of that?

Are they still fast enough to be used in combos even if it’s the simple 6B->weapon change?

I saw it mentioned that Frank’s “Dead Rising” super (214) has a bad start-up time, so I was wondering if there are any known ways to combo into it.

Probably not.

But I think it should be invincible to something if the startup is so bad, and if he can’t use it in the air.

It has a 0 frame startup after the super flash, which really isn’t that bad. Part of the problem with grab supers is that some of the time the opponent can jump out of them on reaction to the super flash which you simply cannot miss

You’ll be wanting to do it to catch dashing opponents or try to tick into it while covering frank with an assist to try to hide the animation.

Maybe you can cancel the fake FRANK SPARTA KICK to that?

hmm. the move has enough startup time that you should be able to tick into it off a normal blocked sparta kick. But then again, if you fake it you won’t have to worry about being pushblocked. :3

He can probably combo into it with zombie assist too.

I think one of his zombie carts can hit OTG. So theoretically you should be able to re-launch into wallbounce after doing this super.

I thought wallbouncing is only limited to 1 per combo string?

Also, can he perform DEAD RISING! on zombies?

yes, but DEAD RISING doesn’t wallbounce.

so if you tick into it, or use it to reset, then you’ve got a wallbounce that you can use afterwards. And since the throw super sends the opponent crashing down where they can be hit OTG, Frank can use his zombie cart to pick them up and continue the combo. At least I hope so.

Yeah. S-Kill said that it covers almost the entire screen. I’m guessing that the deadzones are everywhere behind him.

It’s not too bad, it just sucks that some characters like Doronjo, Chun, Tekkaman, and Ryu and escape the grab after a DP. I did not try the other baseballs for the link though.

Nope. C has too much startup to connect after the first jump cancel - instant air dash. I could land this though:

Well they officially screwed up poor Rock if he can’t even combo 6B weapon change launcher. He’d better get a damage boost to compensate.

Yeah that’s pretty brutal. I honestly don’t feel like he needed to be nerfed, really.

OUCH, not even normal 6B? That is quite a big nerf. I’m guessing the only way to change weapons midcombo now would be launch->combo ending in wallbounce-weapon switch =(

I think Chun got hit by the nerf bat really hard…seriously, at least give her something useful…not that lame combo tensho kyaku --> lv3
