I wonder how he did with Lightan at the tourney? Good to see someone using Yattaman too, I think he really will be one of the better characters once people get his shit down. He has a lot of potential.

I was at Sinsation, and when I asked about not a lot of people using Karas, somebody told me that most of the people in top 8 were friends and that they didn’t want to use Karas.

I’ve said this before, but I totally agree with Samurai about Yatterman. He’s got the best inf in the game if you can get it down, generally does damage really fast in the right situations, and has a lot of potential to do zoning.

Deadontime, if they’re all friends and didn’t want to use Karas, how come about half of them did and some of them didn’t? Not saying it’s not true, but I’m j/w.
When that tierlist says “Prohibited”, that means hardbanned or softbanned or what?
There’s really no reason to ban PTX or Lightan.
Also, wow, good job Skisonic for doing so well with a non-Karas team, and also using Lightan too! I wonder how he managed to get past all those Karas and their chain shenanigans? Probably loooots of aerial gold crash. XD
Push block gold crash / jump over chain gold crash shuts that down really. You can probably jump and push block tekkaman space lariat and then air gold crash to punish as well, I’d need to test. I think Lightan can win for sure though, he’s got a way around most of the stuff that owns him for free.

I don’t agree with Joe/Morrigan being so low…but that looks pretty decent to me.
And wow, people actually used Ken at sinsation.
Also, give Lightan some more credit, man. He got into the top 3. I think the dude at least deserves to be above Souki.
I honestly see Joe as a passing phase, but Morrigan definately has potential, I just haven’t seen it utilized yet. As for the Lightan bit, I agree with you actually, but my list doesn’t have any particular order amongst respected tiers. For example, I consider Saki just as deadly as Chun, if not more so.
Your math is off. There are 192 possible team combinations in TvC, or 382 if you take Karas/Ryu as a different team than Ryu/Karas. It’s not double because team order doesn’t affect the giants.
Marvel had many millions of possible teams, with 56 characters, 3-character teams, and 3 possible choices of assist for each character. Still, team rankings were and are always debated.
Anyway, just for starters:
S - Karas/Ryu, Chun/Ryu, Karas/Ken
Or maybe we can go by character, like:
Karas - Works better with Ryu, Ken and Morrigan
Chun - Works better with Ryu, Jun, Casshern and Joe
Ryu - Everybody loves him
And so on…
Choke isn’t an excuse, but that doesn’t justify your elitist behavior, especially considering that you are not part of any gaming elite whatsoever so far.

“Somebody” probably lied to you. Top players like money, top players like to get invited to TvC at Evo, and half of them actually used Karas. Waving the money out, waving Evo out, and not using Karas when all your pals broke the “code” seems very unlikely, IMO.
i would need to talk to someone who went, to see how the competition was. i dont consider ski using lightan as any true indicator to lightans capabilities, considering the game is still getting broken in, and im sure a ton of people have little to no experience vs giants yet.
You don’t need experience vs. Lightan. You just need Tekkaman assist and/or Karas. lol

Basically vs the giants, you either counterpick them and stick to 1 predictable (but effective) strategy, or you try to wear them down by turtling
Having said that, I was surprized that the Karas he went up against didn’t try to use the chain once.
Jun in the middle of middle tier…I can definitely see her moving up.

Basically, if you get hit with this combo, you lose a character and a good deal of the match time. No megacrash because it’s an otg glitch. The scariest thing is that it doesn’t even require any meter, just a Karas assist and a baroque. AND he can do it to the giants too.
