didnt know the extra button didnt help…Convinced my self that it did…:xeye:

At 30 fps its still 50/50…easiest way to get out trials with out any real effort…So i guess it wont enable you to do it but to answer the post yes it would help if you haven’t mastered vega timing yet.

If a guide suggested you use turbo then its probably a really shit guide and not worth using overall

also is it just a coincidence that the people who use turbo are also the ones who type like retards?

lol that was the official prima guide that said that. I remember reading that shit too. lol

TThats cuzzz wee tyype with turbbo on duhhhh

Wait, can you please explain this in more detail? So you hold db and then sort of QCF and then anticlockwise to back? Also what’s wrong with holding db as opposed to just back? Thanks.

actually you start at forward. and it’s only anti-clockwise if you’re doing it facing right. It’s clockwise if you’re facing left. and It’s a half circle not quarter circle. but yeah you have the right idea. The point is to use a single motion to do 2 things. since you’ll hit up forward first you get a forward jump. then you just keep going till you get to back. Obviously you would want to do this fairly quickly. The goal is to be holding back by the time you’re first in the air. Once you get that down having enough charge shouldnt be a problem ever again… at least until you start doing dash ultras and CH to ultra.

and the reason you cant use down back is because sHP wont come out. You’d end up doing jHP cHP.

I don’t know how people have trouble doing the SF4 Trials, they’re the easiest out of all fighting games by far.

The j.HK, cl.MK xx LP RCF Trial is also very easy if you’re not just mashing, the hitstun from jumping heavy attacks is so freaking long, the whole “trick” ist to hit the j.HK late, wait, wait, cl.MK xx RCF…

And to the turbo discussion: At least the MadCatz controllers’ sending the inputs every 3 frames, so you will always hit 3 frame links but 1f and 2f depends on the timing you started pressing the button, which is way more unreliable than sitting down goddamn 30min and learning the timing… god.

And Turbo faster than 2f is not possible, the game registers every input as press and release, sending it every frame will cause the game to “think” it was never released and still pressed.

Thanks man…um you can do dashing ultra’s - just like dashing supers in SF3 O_O O_O ?! How, and is it ever useful? I SAW it done in the original SF4 Vanilla trailer but never again.

Why the FUCK would you want play a fighting game with turbo? If you use turbo you don’t deserve to play FG’s and your part of the reason the online community is so ass.

iono about 3S i dropped that game about 10 years ago.

To dash forward ultra just charge like normal then press forward twice… on the 2nd forward do a 3/4 circle from forward to down to back to up back. like dont even release the 2nd forward. Go straight into the 3/4 circle motion. Forward, then circle motion.

I forget how to dash back ultra.

But which ultra, 1, or 2? Again, thanks.

oh sorry ultra 1…

i keep forgetting Ultra 2 is also an option

Okay I’m having having SERIOUS trouble with this. Okay so my Vega is facing LEFT (1. with NO prior charge is needed right?) and it’s the following: forward, up forward, up, down back, (HOLD) back; **THEN **jumping RH (2. is that better than jumping fierce when jumping in for this specific combo because it hit’s deeper?), St.fierce cancelled into whichever RCF - either negative edged or not (3. does that make much of a difference?).

Is that right? I mean I’ve had like zero success - ***4. I mean is it me (I quit pad and have difficulty with stick e…g can’t even DP with much success); or is the timing verdite in that I can only be two frames off when it comes to charging? Also how does one do a level 2 or level 3 focus attack and run-up and do st.fierce into EX the RCF two meter combo? I guess it requires great spacing too. 6. ***Or is there a setup that’s perfect distance, i.e. EX FBA and izuna followed by a RH ST and then Kara Focus level 3 attack?

THANK YOU AGAIN, YOU GUYS (especially you Mr Vegaman) are helping me out quite a bit!!!

  1. no prior charge needed, and no you stop at back… not down back (i assume you meant up back). Jumping fierce or roundhouse doesnt matter, although because of jumping fierce’s angle, you’ll tend to get more hitstun by using it as opposed to jumping roundhouse. Either will work though. Start at forward… let the forward jump happen as you do the half circle back ans stop at back. Between the 2 hits of standing fierce press forward+ PP (i do PPP and get backflips if i dont time it right)

  2. See above. It’s not that it hits deeper. it’s that you’re closer to the ground when it hits, making you have more available hitstun for standing fierce.

  3. I never negative edge it, but i dont think it really matters. some people say that it’s a lot easier by hitting it that way, but I cant tell a difference honestly.

  4. I do it on pad… i cant do it on stick consistantly, but i dont really use stick so it’s hard to help you out on that. I dont even use analog. Strict d-pad.

  5. (i assume 5 is about the window to execute the move) the lower you hit the jumping fierce/roundhouse the more hitstun you have. if you hit your opponent above shoulder level though then chances are that it wont connect.

5.5. you FA dash standing fierce into EX RCF one of two ways:
either quickly tap forward forward back (this is what I do) then as he recovers from the dash continue to hold back and press standing fierce and cancel as normal or
do this motion- tap f, then roll the stick/pad f, df, d, db, b all in one motion (f then half circle back). then continue as above.

  1. um… i just eyeball it. head to the training room and practice doing it from corner to corner (to get used to doing it on both sides and on a non-cornered opponent). in about an hour or so you should have it down good enough to attempt in a match

if you’re still having problems after all this, then make sure you’re still holding back all the way until about mid way to 3/4 through the first hit of standing fierce, then press forward + PP

turbo should be banned…

the whole reason the game has so many lame 1 frame combos is because everybody doing all the rallying and support of it is using turbo controllers, modded, with extra buttons anyway

you can link vegas 1 frame cr lps all day long like candy with turbo

its uberlame…

its like living with comic strip characters… like this entire game and all play is just a big joke to benefit the turbo controller users, to sell more turbo controllers or something, and nobody else can play it

and i dare say that NOBODY has ever leaned to link 1frame combos without ever having used turbo at all

are those your videos ive seen online, Meteo??

i’ve never seen anyone link so many 1frame strikes as you do, your by far the best vega jab linker on the planet

i think you have the worlds record for longest vega combo

Is that you who does an EXFB to claw strike to ST??

i still cant figure out how you do that… mind tell me?? thanks

Thank again for the reply. I’ve practised it for over an hour (segmented over the week though) but have only performed it about once. Maybe I should record my desktop and upload it and maybe you’ll take a look at the speed of the inputs and whether it’s being correctly performed?

Go for it. I’ll take a look at it after tourney

Thanks, however it may be later this week as in Australia on my current plan I have almost hit my 25gb cap :frowning:
