There are a few cvs2 players around. No one at too high a level though. The airport is really far from the university. There are hotels around the university. Not sure on the prices of hotels thougoh. Dunno what you want maps of. Theres a map of the airport to the university in the first post.

To answer whoever asked about our best 3S player, our tourney finals generally come down to Dave and Shane. Dave doesn’t have an account here but his friend Tim (also one of our higher players) plays on GGPO as hosaitim and if you see Makoto or Yun on that account, it’s Dave. Shane is ShinAkuma204 on the forums and ShinAkuma on GGPO.
Makoto or Yun could be Jerry as well…

I wont be able o make it to this tournament, everyone bailed on me, I don’t really want to travil there by myself , to yet another big Canadian tournament. I’ll make it out to one if its at a later date. I’m also strapped for cash atm.

If you’re expecting to make money then it probably won’t be worth it. We don’t have that big a scene here and I’m not expecting that many for cvs2. Maybe 10-12 players for it. As for 3s. Not too sure about that, should be about 20 entries.
As for shiro. I appreciated that you tried. Like I told you before, get your life in order before making trips out to tournaments again. I hope to make it out to WCC2 whenever it is. Let me know when it is and I’ll make my way there. Hopefully nothing happens this time and I’m doing fine with my funds.

The greyhound guy in Winnipeg decided that he enjoyed being a terrible human being so he decided to refuse Steve’s chance to make extra stops on the way home and had to go straight to Edmonton (on the longest possible route no less). I suppose he can explain it better than I can.
Anyways, it’s too bad that you couldn’t make it out but whatever happens happens. Maybe next year, then we can have some Edmonton vs Winnipeg SF4! :woot:
