This board has been dying out slowly so due to the lack of interest, i havenāt been doing much eitherā¦
I got some old/new builds, note that afew require DLC gems and will be tagged.
Immense Power Gems set: on point/in reserve replace any gem with immense power lv.1 (partner connects with launcher)
-Immense power lv.1 (connect with 5 normals)
-Immense power lv.1 (connect with 3 specials)
-Immense power lv.2(connect with 10 normals)
for non-dlc gems this is the best your getting for on point immense power build, this is why normally immense power gems are kinda bad for Poison atm.
Onslaught Gem set: (DLC)
-Onslaught lv.2 connect with 4 special moves 40% boost(DLC-collectors edition)
-EX Onslaught lv.2(connect with 4 special moves 40% boost(DLC collectors edition)
This is a highly effective gem set, and itās worth the trouble when this gems become widely available.
Onslaught Alt. Gem set:
Onslaught lv.1 (connect 3 special moves)
Onslaught lv.2 (partner connects with launcher)
Onslaught lv.1(have 4 attacks blocked) or Onslaught lv.1(perform 1 reversal)
a alternative to the above set, itās wise to opt out at least 1 slot for another gem of your choiceā¦
Setting up her partners gems will be a dfferent story but if your using a tekken character for your teammate then consider running Immense Power lv.1(partner connects with launcher) with Immense Power lv.2 Perform SuperArt to get a instand 30% damage boost off a Boost Combo. Running a onslaught build will get you the meter to burn for this tactic and it wonāt scale horribly if you read my maximizing damage post in the GD thread. Most of the character boards are. I think people are not discovering as much in this game as they thought they would. Weāll have to wait for something big to come along like balance changes or some new setups.
I just use all the 40% meter gems.
Itās a pretty bad hit the game has taken too, people are losing interest and thats not good. Threads like this which explain and detail gems are close to pointless at the moment due to Gems being tournament band for the time being, this combined with a decaying scene, it hurts this games chances in being played after EVO2K12.

Another Gem updateā¦well kinda.
Most people run Poison On Point, so meter building is key. Iām going to off on a tangent so if you want to skip it, go to the bottom of the post, thanks. Anyways, Poison on point needs to activate her gems in a safe but consistent way. Poison can land X number of normals or specials to activate certain Gems. There are not many Onslaught Gems, so you may have to opt out for either speed or power gems in your remaining slots. The main Gem you want to use is the Onslaught lv.1(Connect with 3 special moves) this gem activates from her normal Bnb or any combo finishing with all three reps from WoL. Once the Onslaught lv.2 Connect with 4 special moves is available, purchase it without second thought as itās insanely good. The 3rd slot is open to what ever you want to fit in, if possible another easy to activate gem like Immense power, wouldnāt hurt or another G.Gauge Gem.
This strategy is rather good because she obtains the meter needed for EX moves or other actions. This strategy is usually works best when off set with a Offensive Gem build with a strong character to boot. Ironically Hugo fits the bill, but others such as Juri, Kazuya or even Julia are great picks as well.
