I didnāt get a chance to watch transformers when I was younger and the one on Cartoon Network makes it look so cheezy.They turned Optimus into Megazord!
anyone get the Screamer and Prime protoforms. Been out for a week now. Not too bad, I was expecting them to be hard since they looked liked nothing I would know how to transform like a car. But they were pretty easy, yet smaller than expected.
Gonna grab Screamer when I can, no point in rushing since they are everywhere at the moment.

I finally saw the Transformers live action movie toys in the store, and man I was disappointed. They look like cheap knockoffs!

TF Titaniums are next to impossible to find at retail in SoCal. Iāve been trying to locate Ultra Magnus with no luck anywhere.

WTF? Why are they posed like they belong on a cover of Spider-Man? TFās never did dumb shit like thatā¦ just when I was starting to see some slight glimmer of hope in there too.
Iām not one of the Transformers: The Movie haters, but these designs (most of them) are just bad. Not bad as in āthey arent like my beloved G1ās!ā, but bad as in they just look too busy. If more of the parts were solid, it would look awesome (like some of the images of the toys Iāve seen). But what I keep seeing from the film, they just have way too many lines, and wires, and crap visualy showing all over. Hard to tell a nail, from an eye.

They really havenāt hit retail yet.
It should be soon, but they wonāt saturate for another few weeks.
I heard initial rumors that Bay was considering the Alt line but decided it was too toy like and not āalien enoughā. Who knows if was even true at anytime but it would have made a lot more fans happy. to see some truthful representation up there.
I donāt even think that Bay would have even botheredā¦there would be too many licensing issues.

EDIT: And I think the āneed to make them more alienā thing was just an excuse to take liberties with the Transformers, and just make a giant alien robot, āblow everything upā flick to cash-in on the Transformers popularity.
I guess it remains to be seen. Binaltech/Alternators like designs would have been a MUCH better call.
