I have MP Starscream too (Xmas gift - best girlfriend EVER). My biggest complaint is the color scheme, but other than that I love him. Jet mode is awesome, and except for the color scheme, robot mode is on point. The only advice I’d give you is that I’ve heard rumors that Hasbro may re-release the toy with its proper G1 color scheme. So you may want to wait for that, but then again they are rumors and I don’t know how true they are.

I plan on getting MP Prime, and giving the Megatron gun to Starscream. I don’t know why they didn’t do it like this in the first place, Prime only used gun Megatron once, while Screamer did use him several times I think (including the shuttle scene in the movie).

I don’t have a problem with Screamers color scheme - yeah it’s not actually correct but I understand and appreciate what it is the creator wanted to achieve, and I think he did it. I only wish there were more die-cast parts to him. For a cool $100.00, it’s doesn’t stand up (quality-wise) to MP Prime and he cost the same.

Screamer also holds Megs in gun form too. It’s only natural. :lovin: But I am stoked for MP Megs to release - that’s one hot looking figure.

You think YOU’RE in trouble…wait until we get a house and I have to transform ALL of my Alternators back to their car forms for easy transportation. Talk about an all-day project. I might just come up with a system to move them without changing them back. That would save me a LOT of time.

Thanks for the MP Screamer info, D/s and Az. I guess I’ve given up waiting for him to be sold at a less expensive price. If he were $60, I’d have picked him ages ago. Now, watch the day after I give up and order him, he’ll start showing up at discount rate. Story of my life!

I just let loose my Alternators for display - I actually had to take apart Grimlock to get him back into bot-mode. He’s the only Alt that I can’t figure out, even with directions.

PsychoSquall - awesome pics, those Hot Rods are awesome! I’m sad knowing that we’ll never get an Alt Hot Rod too.

I’ve come to the point in where I must get a masterpiece. I have finally saved up some money but am curious to know which one. I’m only gonna buy 1…for now. Should I get Prime or Screamer? But I’m considering on waiting and gettin Megs instead?

I’m sure the majority of the fans would say that MP Prime/Convoy is the greatest out of the MP series so far.

I’d agree with that. I have MP Starscream over Prime because I’m a big Screamer fan, and I also really like jets (aside from TF stuff). Also, Starscream is cheaper - about half the price of Prime. Although I’m paying Japanese prices, I don’t know how much you guys have to shell out for them.

I haven’t seen MP Megatron yet, but I think I’d personally put him below Prime and Starscream. It kind of looks like the legs are too thin.

Only problem with MP-Prime is that everytime someone comes into your house, they will see it and comment on how much they would like to acquire it from you (through legal means or otherwise )

I’m with everyone else Prime > Screamer. (sadly) I’d wait for Megs so you have 3 to compare instead of 2. Which version are you thinking of getting; the one w/Trailer or w/o? If w/o, you might re-consider tracking down the US release, either the newest one or the older one; might be cheaper.

Keep in mind if you get Megatron, you probably will have a hell of a time trying to find one that hasn’t been altered with a fugly orange tip on the barrel.

Revoltechs are good if you don’t mind how the transformer ones don’t actually transform. I’ve seen some of them like Revoltech Prime and the have really good poseability.

I’m fairly sure the Revoltechs can’t transform, but I could be wrong about that one though.

You’re right. I have the Prime/Magnus Revoltechs, and they are well worth the money even though they don’t transform.

Well I’m considering that Megs revoltech when it comes out. I want a really good G1 Megs, the original blah, ok for it’s time but not staring material. MP, very nice but I’m curious on those thin legs, the dumb orange tip and pricy. While the only gripe I have wit Revoltech is he wont TF.

This is probably looked down upon by diehard Transfans, but I was half-contemplating over sculpting and painting add-on pieces that fit onto the inner sides of MP Megatron’s legs to help remedy the ‘thin legs’ look. I think it would be really easy to do, and they could simply be removed in order to transform him to his gun form. The sad fact is that the thin legs really bother me, and his robot form would be my prefered form to have him in.

You’re free to do whatever the hell you want with your TFs, lol. I painted all 5 Terrorcons with red eyes as a kid, and did the same with G1 Barrage. If you think it makes him look better, go for it. Just promise us pics when you’re done.

If I get some decent free time, I have a 2nd Classics Megs I was gonna do a sculpt/repaint on for Classics Shockwave.
