Sentinel Prime
and my lord** Galvatron!**
I got Toyworld’s not!Long Haul, not!Scrapper, and not!Hook recently…3 more not!Constructicons to go. It’s been more than worth all the money I’ve committed to this so far, as expected of TW. I’ll take pictures of not!Devastator once he’s ready for posterity.
On a side note, these figures are huge, as in Leader-class scale. How big is this mofo gonna be when I combine them, like 3 feet tall?
http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=TOW10022&mode=retail
2 inches taller than Gen/CW Devastator IIRC
Assuming this is the correct figure. Im not knowledgeable about 3p figures lol
That’s the one, good catch. So, he’s a bit over a foot and a half. …Impressive.
Combiner Wars Prelude
I pray this isn’t the animation style for this show. Also I’m not mad about not having Cullen as the voice. However, using Jon Bailey to emulate the “modern” Prime voice just means it was budget that determined the decision.
All those Titan Returns figures are glorious. Despite the fact that some use Headmasters that were not traditionally Headmasters does make me cringe, I am looking forward to the line as a whole. As of now, the only US release that I intend to purchase is Galvatron. I prefer the deeper purple and the paint apps are practically identical. I can also confirm that the Legends version of PM Prime (Ginrai) is going to be the one I will purchase. I guess TakTomy is making a toy accurate homage with the new arms and remolds.
@“Dangerous J” which one is your pick for Lord Galvatron?
Both Galvatrons are good IMO, but I’ll probably get Hasbro due to the traditional purple color and the price.
My only 2 problems with Hasbro -
The Headmaster being mostly gray means the rear half of the head will be gray.
The tread parts are purple; I would have preferred gray like Takara.
Still, he seems worlds better than the awful (IMO) 2008 deluxe Universe Galvatron.
I love 90% of Hasbro Generations, but him and Universe Ironhide/Ratchet were below average.
Those 2 had the worst vehcle mode designs-they looked like they were on the receiving end of a 50 hit Bayonetta combo.
Regarding the others: I’ll be getting Hasbro versions of:
Hardhead -(the only G1 Autobot 1987 HM toy I had as a kid)
Skullcruncher
Rewind and Rumble (and the inevitable Frenzy/Eject)
Wheelie.
Im declining to get PM Optimus, Blaster, and Sentinel Prime.
Powermaster Op and Blaster look good, but Im satisfied with Classics Op and FOC Blaster.
Sentinel Prime is not that familiar to me, and bright orange is a bit off putting to me.
LOL at Ironhide and Ratchet. I don’t know why they thought that releasing those that way was OK. Never got to handle the Universe Tank Galvatron, but that is probably one of the most hated figures from that line.
I am having a hard time deciding on the deluxes HM Skullcruncher and Hardhead. I like the TakTomy versions, but I honestly don’t think the remolds are worth almost double in price. If I see them on the shelves, more than likely the Hasbro will win. Skullcruncher is a must buy for me. When my dad took out one of my Micromasters as a kid, we went to KB Toys to replace it with another Transformer. Skullcruncher was there, but the figure was missing the Headmaster. I wanted it, but having a TF with no head made little sense.
I would like to get Sentinel, but given that it’s practically going to be recolored into Astrotrain with a “remolded” head, I can skip that one. Unless it gets clearanced out like Leader Class Megatron, it’ll never hit my display. Knowing that Blaster and Soudwave are retools of each other just doesn’t work (for me). I’m getting PM Optimus Prime because it’s a redo of one of my favorite Optimus Prime molds and . . . … IT’S OPTIMUS PRIME! The Takara Legends version takes a pretty awesome retool and makes it even better.
Wheelie LOL screw him.
I feel like Inferno was the first Transformer I could afford to buy with my own hard-earned newspaper route money. Looking forward to this one.
I’m weird in that I rarely buy multiple versions of characters.
Exceptions:
I have 2 optimus figs(mp 10 and classics)
2 megatron figs(2006 nerf and 2015 shiny tank leader class)
2 onslaught (ultra swat car and Voyager CW)
I like to have a wide variety and if a Deception repaint of a toy looks cooler I’ll get that.
I.e 2009 Universe Darkwind instead of Universe Silver bolt

Outside of the ones that I have MPs but also Generations / Classics releases, they are:
Skywarp - MP11SW, CW (legends scale), TF Prime, Alternity, and the iGear Raptor version - Skipped the leader class version because I despise that mold for the seekers.
Grimlock - MP and Binaltech
Dreadwing - G2 and Generations
Tracks - MP, Binaltech, and Generations
With the Decepticon repaints I am with you. I have Loudpedal waiting in my stash. It just looks great with the gloss black and traditional Decepticon colors.
I also pulled the trigger on the Titan Return releases. I preordered Galvatron, Skullcruncher, and Scourge. Hardhead is one that I’ll probably catch on sale. I have enough Autobots and really didn’t have a connection with the HM Autobots. I skipped Blurr because the TakTomy version’s coloring is superior in every way. Too bad it’s sold out for pre-order everywhere.
For fans from the United States who have been anticipating the arrival of Titans Return figures, the wait is over as wave 1 of Titans Return Deluxe, includ

How in the deuce did that happen LOL.
Waiting to find in the wild is getting old these days. I’d rather pay the extra $2-$3 and have it just show up instead of driving around town hoping to find them.
Any of you guys have the Playstation Prime? I for some strange reason want to add it to my collection.
If you have Playstation Prime please please tell me you have it next to Microman 033, the old transforming Playstation set. Pics if so, that would be amazing.

Dont have it yet. Never knew that Microman set existed. If I did, that would definitely be an awesome shot.
Wow. When did this guy get released? Tempting.
Scorponok is awesome but, Trypticon > Scorponok. When it comes to G1 city bots.

PE-Gorira (Optimal Optimus)
Looks heavily inspired by Don Fig’s work.
I doubt HasTakTomy will do this in the MP line, so I am all for it. I always thought that saying that this figure has 4 modes is a stretch. I definitely hope they make this awesome in its own right. Obviously Primal Prime is going to get a release from this. To recreate that moment in the Beast Machines finale, they need to just give it an alternate head.
Ok so i’m likely out of the loop but, toyworld is making/had made yet another unofficial 3rd party Masterpeice Devastator. Whose combined mode stands at over 20" tall. The biggest Devastator yet.
Am i the only one that sees size as a hindrance as much as it is a spectacle? I have combiner Wars devastator and sure, he’s huge and cool looking but, damn he’s big. There’s a point when sheer size ceases to be cool and, just becomes a pain in the ass. A figure doesn’t need to be THAT large to convey the coolness they’re going for. Considering throwing him up on e-bay lately to free up collection space.
There’s something to be said about, ummm, size appropriateness when it comes to a figure. It’s meant to be a figure not a statue! Actually gives the G1 originals some points because even if their engineerring is not as technically impressive, at least they aren’t friggin’ ginormous.
It also appears as if sheer size is all the toyworld Devastator has going for it. I think it’s appearance is the least impressive of the existing MP devastators.
Interesting.
FWIW, this … phone Transformer KO seems pretty sweet:
