Only fitting that the one that sounds like he’s from a city(citizen, the two words came from directly related Latin words IIRC) is the best toy iteration of him!
It’s not that the TakTomy release looks bad, it just kinda remind me of the Dreamwave Pat Lee era of design. It is more accurate for sure, but the other just has better proportions.
I just watched that video. I didn’t even touch the FOCs escalation.
To be fair, FoC is a masterpiece of good writing/excellent tension building(space bridge is the only way away from a dead world, and if we don’t, we starve, if the 'Cons don’t get us first; and we may not make it anyway), so that’s a tough act to follow.
I’m cautiously optimistic!

Brainstorm is love. I cant beleive they are making him an actual headmaster.
Optimus ehh Ill keep my old Classics.
Arcee looks pretty solid. as does Chromia.
Gen Megs legs look a bit weird, but I like the traditional Megatron look w/o the goofy colors of my Classics Voyager from 2006.
Voyager Prime looks terrible in vehicle mode. Again a 3P release did it better. Will I buy it tho…OF COURSE LOL
The new Megatron figure looks like it was inspired by the smartphone game.

The more I see that Optimus, the more I hate it. I am gonna start hunting for the Toyworld Orion figure. The legends class figure looks closer to the IDW release than that thing. THEY COULDN’T EVEN GET THE HEADSCULPT RIGHT! The faux chest thing makes it even worse. It’s sad that the one figure most Transformers fans want to see done right isn’t even hitting on anything. Scoop had a better rendition. . . . . SCOOP! I am sure that I am probably going to grab it out of semi obligation, but that’s terrible. Most of the other releases in in the line up are actually epicticious. A lot of care and love went into these designs. Then they decide to do this to the most Iconic of all TFs. I just want to know what they were going for?

Brainstorm and Chromia are the only ones I want really, hope Brainstorm gets retooled into Chromedome soon.
