Well looks like some Canadians got there hands on the new movie figures early.
And how true was that! I just couldn’t get the feeling of what Megatron was really after; I have read almost all the IDW comics, and sometimes Megatron seems like a cruel tyrant, sometimes he seems like he is waiting for someone to topple him from leadership. Maybe it’s just me.

Hmm. I think Grimlock looks cool, first Michael Bayer redesign that I don’t dislike. But the color scheme I don’t like. Is that how it’s going to be in the movie? What’s wrong with this guy?

I just wonder why in the deuce was this game was done this way
its the greatest tf material ive ever read or seen. if you like this, the war within was a comic i deem on the same level as megatron origins. rest of the tf comics is pretty shitty imo. same for the cartoons, i think bw was the only actual good tf cartoon i know of. old g1 was ok for the 80’s but everything else besides the firs half of the tf 80’s movie is pretty much ass. as good as these designs are the tf universe is plagued with nothing but shit when it comes to cartoons, movies, games and comics. even the toys were shit before the whole mp thing and third party makers stepping in (i think some of the 90’s had good shit, the bw toy line seemed good but i never owned any of that shit). without nostalgia glasses i dont see how anybody can still like the 80’s toys.

disagree man, they are basicallt gears of war clones that just aint as good as gow but have robots and transformations. its good for a tf game, but good? just average, barely playable. im still waiting for an actual good tf game.
Yeah, seeing the way it transforms is insane, yet awesome!

So I am late as ever with this comic thing. Read 3 volumes of the IDW TPB from the story arc that took place right after All Hail Megatron (For All Mankind, International Incident, and Revenge of the Decepticons). They were all awesome! People hate Don Fig’s designs, but I actually enjoyed them. I could see definitely where the faces gave trouble, but the robot form itself were impressive. I am gonna hunt down volumes 4-7 and then get to the RID/ MTMTE stuff.
Good you finally jumped in. As for Don Fig’s designs, I liked a few, like Optimus Prime’s. I find his faces weird. And bodies too segmented, too many pieces. He’s a good artist, but definitely one of the least liked Transformers artists.
As for RID and MTMTE, there’s TPB’s out you can get. While you get them, there’s other ways you can read them…
