Transformers Thread

isn’t the point of the game the fact that you pretty much destroy him anyways?? So if he comes back by G1 (no idea how much longer after the game G1 takes place), it could make sense he’s partially rebuilt

possibly, but I feel like wfc story is a more gritty, realistic retelling of what happened.
that and there’s a LOT of inconsistencies in G1 artwork/character models. as much as I love G1 I think any fan will admit to that.

seeing hasbro has adopted wfc as official canon, if the games do eventually go into G1 material, I expect everything will still be WFC scale. it just seems right…like the 3d version of what was intended with the original series. we’ll see I guess, but everything in wfc to me, story wise, was taking the game in the right direction.

at least they don’t have to deal with inconsistencies in 3d models now

WFC was the reason I hunted down a Trypticon at Botcon…

also, sorry to keep posting this morning but did any of you guys catch one of the latest pawn stars?
dude has a pretty massive tf collection on there, had it valued at around 15-20k, all made up of G1 shit.
2 fortress maximus’s complete and with boxes o_o

if you have comcast, you can watch the episode on demand. I think it’s s3 ep 12, the one that’s labled some jfk papers or some shit. good watch though, dude had a very nice collection

Yeah I’ve seen that episode. Dude had like a room a half full. I love that show.

Oh, how I would love a Supreme class OS figure to be released as part of the WFC line.

I loooove the Fansproject Springer/defender. I didn’t really like his character in the show too much, but that toy is just awesome. From the preview pictures, I thought the car mode looks really nice, but not so much on the helicopter mode. After receiving the figure, I ended up loving the helicoptor mode a whole lot, and was disappointed on the car mode. The differences in my perceptions of the online pics versus seeing it in person really surprised me.

I’m debating whether or not to leave Springer on my POL or to ship it now.

Is anyone getting the Piranacon reissue?

is it really a bbts exclusive or are they just bs’ing? I can never tell with them.

but I do want it. I have the g1 turtle guy still (snaptrap?) and always wanted the set.
60 doesn’t seem too steep for it.

Yep: BBTS Exclusive - Decepticon Piranacon - G1 Commemorative Seacons - Transformers 2010 Transformers BigBadToyStore Exclusives

hat’s actually an exclusive that isn’t ridiculously overpriced. I just wonder if they’ll ever release a G1 Devastator.

Pre-Order for A-01 Vibrant Red Alternity Convoy - $47.99

I may have to grab him now. However, the fact that it’s a basically a die-cast licensed deluxe figure is what’s holding me back from it. This pic is a good example. WFC Prime still looks more detailed next to it

yeah, I think I’m going to get the seacons then.
I made my scout in wfc to match seacon color scheme too, lol. Pink/teal combo for a decepticon may be a bit weird, but it’s fun to kill people with

Those are my colors for Onslaught (Tactical Rig).

I need this picture, sans Japanese

Anyone else here into the occasional KO? If so a heads up…

Just got that mini Predaking KO thats been going around the other day, and was surprised. This guy is awesome and way better than i expected! Definitely upper-class as for as KOs are concerned. Plastic quality is not great but still decent and sturdy, joints are fairly tight & combined form holds together well, paint apps and nigh-accurate G1 colorscheme look fantastic, and despite his scaled down size he is still an impressive looking replica of the original, and a LARGE figure in his own right.

Awesome display piece and placeholder if lacking an original or reissue. Being more in-scale with other G1 combiners can also a plus.

Only downside is redesigned, simplified bots, missing some of their animal legs in beastmode(Razorclaw is completely intact). Though in a way this is neat as there is less visible animal-kibble in combined mode. Individual bot accessories aren’t all there either.

Also he has no stickers, everything is painted on. Which is better in my opinion, as the paint apps look great for one, and also you won’t have to worry about cheap ko stickers pealing off all the time.

Well worth picking up for the price:
Predaking Mini Version - G1 Combiners at KOTOYS.COM

haha predaking jr actually looks pretty cool, lol.

I finally transformed my MP Thundercracker. I bought the fucking thing almost 2 years ago and never bothered to display it out of its box. The transformation is a lot easier than I remembered. It took me a good hour to figure out Swkywarp 3 years ago, but that’s because I didn’t want to break my new $100 toy.

I love the blue that was used. It just makes me wish that Takara released a toon accurate MP Starscream, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that was in the pipeline. The MP seeker mold is still being milked, with the most recent release of Ghost Starscream. Sunstorm as an E-Hobby exclusive seems most likely.

I’d also like to think that Takara will entertain the idea of an MP Starscream in ROTF colors. It makes sense, especially since they’ve started bringing movie leaders into the MP line. I have to admit that an MP SS in live action movie colors would look really nice.

I got stuff today. Lets see…

Device Label Blaster. He’s solid, posable, detailed, and exactly what we’d hope for in some kind of Classics update. He’s also $70 which is fucking retarded…but, if you have $70 to spare… Lots of clicky joints, able to hold G1 cassettes and a surprisingly robust size. Interestingly enough, he makes Music Label Soundwave look small and stupid by comparison.

SOC Kurojishi.
GX-54 Tobikage & Kurojishi - Soul Of Chogokin Soul Of Chogokin
He’s my Classics Victory Leo and he is outstanding. Large-ish, complicated, heavy, articulated and well painted. I’ll get some pics up sometime for you all to see him with other Victory style Classics.

Starscream & BB from BW2
D-13 Starscream & BB (Korean Box) - Transformers Japanese Beast Wars Destron
I’m going to use them with my G2 Classics display. For the price, I couldn’t say no.

wasn’t this released in the G2 line in NA also? I remember having that dude but a different color scheme. think he was named something different tho.

cool toy though, remember the big guy was a bit clunky but the “starscream” was very nice and poseable. $30 bucks on that is a great price.

Yup, this toy was originally a G2 toy in blue and red, then this BW2 version was made and used, then a Target US exclusive olive green version, then a Japanese Robot Masters version in blue and yellow.

And it all started as an abandonded prototype Megatron where Starscream combined with him in Jet mode…
