I need to finish my BT collection, actually. I’m missing a quite a few. Not really a fan of the Decepticon BTs though. They’re just repaints of the Autobots with different heads.
And I’m also glad to hear the good news about MP Megatron. He has to be in scale with MP Convoy. He just has to. I’ll cry if he’s not. And if he ain’t metal I’ll cry some more. Thats what ruined MP Starscream IMO.
MP Screamer not being metal was a nasty suprise (only the nose cone of the plane is metal) but wasn’t it done cause he had way more transforming parts than Prime?
yeah, I’ve seen the pics of Rumble and Ravage, which will probably turn into repaints of Frenzy and fucking Cheetor-shit. I’m just unhappy that the line is being cancelled. bah! I’ll get Megatron and repaint him like everyone else is. That green is plain ugly but at least he’s a gun again.
Yeah, I just saw the Clasics line for the first time at TRU near my place. God price, I’ll probably buy a few of them. But what really caught my eye was the Beast Wars Megatron/Primal 2-pack TRU Exclusive. Mmmm, now that I want!

Did anybody see the Masterpiece Skywarp? Somebody needs to just keep making custom (or official) good repaints of the Masterpiece Starscream: that’s just like printing money. Stupid Starscream paint job. Man, they put up pre-orders for Starscream Not Painted By My Kid Brother, Skywarp, and Thundercracker, they can have a direct line to my bank account. :tup:
How is MP Starscream? Now that I’ve got MP Optimus/Convoy, I’m eyeing the rest of the line. Too bad they went with no-armor Ultra Magnus…
The Alternator line just feels cheap and plastic… they kind of suck for use alongside the Masterpiece Series. I’ll be picking up a good Binaltech once I find a particularly good car design. =\

He could have been a lot bigger to stand in scale with MP Convoy. But alas, they were thinking too much about the planemode itself when they created it. After all, the plane would have been pretty huge had he been in scale with MP Convoy.

I have yet to buy a mp fig; my first will be MP=04 since it has long stacks and a trailer and the normal features. 200 bones put to use.
Prolly the only other char i would consider buying a Masterpiece version of would be G1 Galvatron , but I doubt that would ever happen lol.

Not really. They pose fine for me. Japan still makes a lot of its toys using metal. The Soul of Chogokin line and Saint Seiya.
Well, seeing as how MP Convoy stands pretty damn tall next to the rest of the TF stuff it would suck hard to have only ONE MP figure that stands tall above the rest. For the price they’re charging MP Convoy is the only that gets to be that big? Nah man, they should all be in scale if we’re gonna talk about a $100+ TF toy.
I caved in and got the MP04 Optimus/Convoy w/ trailer. I couldn’t be happier with it. The trailer isn’t anything special, but since I didn’t get Optimus the first time around, it is a nice addition. Definately not something I’d want to get (the trailer w/ another Prime) if I already had just the Optimus.
The fanmade trailer seems great, but I think the colorful stickers inside look slightly tacky. It’s very G1-ish, but the design element doesn’t really match up with the rest of the transformer. The official trailer has some nice details sculpted within, rather than just flat walls/floor. The absense of Roller is sad, but I would rather just have some other binaltech/alternator occupying room in the trailer anyway.
The news of the MP Megs is a godsend. That reminds me, I gotta repaint some of the Classic Megs parts. Mainly the orange parts.
Hasbro isn’t cancelling the Alt line - it’s just going on hiatus. I severely doubt that they are just a marginal line, they always sell extremely well. Hell, I haven’t seen Mirage or Camshaft at the retail level; I had to get an entire wave online.
Someone had an avatar of masterpiece Starscream or something. I thought it was the most awesome thing I’d ever seen, so I decided to try and find it if I could. I randomly walked into a toy collectors shop in Kyoto. There was a lot of shit, but I couldn’t find anything TF, at first.
Then I found a tucked away little corner, and struck gold. It was amazing - they had the masterpiece Screamer, re-issues, Alts, and whatever the biggest, nicest Optimus Prime toy that’s out is. I nearly shit myself right there in the store.
…So yeah, I’m gonna be broke, real soon. And no, I can’t take any shipping requests.
Really? Hmm, I though I read on Seibertron.com from the Botcon/Hasbro discussion that they said it was being cancelled and replaced by the movie line. They even mentioned that the next Alt would have been Megatron as Cadillac (I think it was a Caddy, not sure though).
And aside from the non-anime paint app, I can’t believe people are bitching about Starscream isn’t to scale with Prime. I wouldn’t want to imagine the price for that toy. The plane is big enough as it is…
and I saw the Skywarp repaint, really nice looking but too glossy for my taste. We’ll probably be sing tons of repaints on Ebay for a while. If I can find a toon accurate Screamer and the auction isn’t up to “rape my wallet” levels, I’ll buy one.
Well, for $120, it should be bigger. It’s a part of the MP line so it would be right if it were to scale with MP Convoy. The plane is a decent size. And for $120 it should have had some metal on it. For that price it could have been done a bit better. It felt like a rushed product since it was in so much demand.

Well, if Megatron is Prime’s height. Starscream is just a few inches shorter than Megatron. So yeah, he should be nearly as tall as Prime.
