Looks like the Titanium line never actually died…

I dunno, the artstyle really grew on me. I especially wouldn’t call it lazy, since all the action scenes are so elaborate. There’s tons of different shots, which all require their own backgrounds and lay outs, most of them with difficult perspective on the robots themselves.
On top of that, they hardly ever use loops. On the last episode of season 2, there’s a shot with Megatron deflecting Starscream’s blasts with his swords. In any other saturday morning cartoon (including G1), they’d just have him go back and forth between two poses, but here, they just kept him moving all around.
In my professional opinion, Animated is one of the best saturday morning cartoons ever for its production value, and then I’m not even talking about the story, which is also leaps and bounds ahead of most of its competition.
I’ll always cherish G1 for being the first and setting this whole universe up, but the direction in which Animated has taken it is amazing. There’s filler episodes of course, but even the lame jokes are better than other shows’ lame jokes.
How anyone can ever like Beast Wars is beyond me btw.

I loved BW! storylines and characters were great. I loved its reference to the G1 series.

TF: Animated Season 3 premiere was nice, and I hope later eps. will have more TFers.
Oh and

Beast Wars had good writing which is part of why its pretty good, that and characerization was usually top notch with most of the cast.
BW ended with Season 2 for me, with the victory of the Decepticons >=)
The last episode of the series was when Dinobot died. That shit still chokes me up. salutes Dinobot “IMPROVISE BITCHES”
I’m thinking about making my own Revoltech Jazz, followed by Soundwave, and maybe Galvatron…
(no use waiting on Kaiyodo to announce them)

Agreed. BW was a very well written show. It had it’s silly moments but only when they started to have more human involvement, which I thought was kinda’ weird because it was never there before and they never needed it to tell a good story.

Yup, one of the saddest moments I’ve experienced next to Starscream and Prime’s deaths. :shake:

I’ve still yet to pick up Revo Starscream or Hot Rod. Grimlock would be good one too.
Screamer and Hot Rod are well worth it, SMB. Not to mention affordable ($20-30 w/S&H)

Just exactly how does one lose an unopened GT-R? Find that shit, son!

**IMO transformers animated sucks I hate the art style **and although robots turning into cars isn’t the most mature subject matter the cartoons content is a still too slapstick for my taste.
Bring beast wars back.
Is there some kind of list of all transformers dvd releases?..wish I had enough money to collect the toys but video games, bloooraye discs, n comics come first oh well.
Totally agree, I checked out some of the Animated eps last night and thought it blew. Also checked out the Armada eps and loved those, not understanding the art style of these new cartoons now. Old school cartoons to me had a bit more detail to them…

…what do you mean “a bit”? More like “so much more” detail and care in the animation!

Pay attention to Devastator, Menasor, and Bruticus when they combine.
And this isn’t just some chance example I’m giving you either. A lot of the animation was like this, which I can understand because it was 25 years ago and there were budget constraints.
American G1 episodes have not aged well.

Damn you! Well excuse me if my memory after 25 years isnt up to par.:bgrin:
Still though, can’t stant the whole Mr. Incredible type of design they use and prefer the G1 and Armada design.
I didn’t really notice this until I started watching G1 episodes again about 2-3 years ago.

It looks like the Hearts of Steel Prime garage kit could see mass production: link to article
What started off as a garage kit custom has transformed into full fledge production and more.
No more painting and assembling. Hearts of Steel Optimus Prime by Griffith is now going to be offered to the general public. The newly created company MMC will be releasing custom Transformers toys, starting with “HOS Commander”
Griffith posted the following message on his site: http://griffith-monolog.blogspot.com/
I have recently been corresponding to a couple of like-minded investors and guys experienced in the processes of toy manufacturing and we’ve decided to form a team to put HOS01 into production and possibly other projects.
Master Mind Creation (MMC)'s goal is to create custom toys based on familiar TF characters that are never made into actual toys as well as original robot designs. And of course the first project announced is HOS01.
There will be a number of improvements and changes to be made to the original design especially in the joints. The actual price is unconfirmed at the moment. More details will be announced here as well as in the MMC blog.
A note to folks who ordered the resin version:
I have been advising potential buyers of the HOS01 kit since the group has been discussing on the project. The kits will continue to be available to those who are willing to support this version and I will still be continuing the series in resin as it there it cannot be confirmed that all my designs can be mass produced.
If you have any specific queries do email me at **griffith76@gmail.com** I will try to ship out all confirmed orders by the end of March. A big Thank You to those who have supported this project and those who will continue supporting.
