The Autobot Academy episode isn’t too bad. It’s mostly a flashback of Bumblebee trying to join the Elite Guard. Also, anything involving Megatron, Starscream, and Ultra Magnus. I’d say you’ll like the recent season finale because it incorporates all of the good stuff thus far. And by good stuff, I mean anything pertaining actual TF characters and their mythos as opposed to humans.

A lot of episodes are shit, I’ll be honest. But anything having to do with the Autobot-Decepticon war is good.

I’m watching episode 29 right now. It seems the Ark (if that is the Ark) turns into Omega Supreme?

I like the idea of Starscream and his clones each containing a seperate piece of his personality, but let’s be real here. This is obviously a cheap marketing ploy at selling as many paint variants of one toy as possible which is what Hasbro excels at. I know they don’t have them out now, but just wait and watch. By next year there will be like 12 different repaints of that figure.

And am I just crazy or does Blitzwing have a Schwarzenegger alt face and voice? And the Constructicons are pretty funny.

Now I’m not really the kind of person to make a claim of authority without proof (though I do have the article references which I could back all this up), but I know what could be considered only as a ‘fuck-ton’ of knowledge about Transformers as toys and their value.

Now you may or may not be able to get a Predaking at $120 these days. If you do, you’re looking at one which is incomplete and is NOT the metal version. The reissue alone (metal) retailed at $200. It was $250 by the time importers were done with it.

Right now, G1 is money in the bank, although surprisingly enough, the series to see the most gains in value is Cybertron by percentage where some of the figures have seen 300-500% jumps in what they were worth compared to their retail price. Don’t believe me? Price out Cybertron Leobreaker on eBay then come back.

G1, despite being antiquated in technology is still one of the best displaying line of TF toys ever. You can bitch and moan that the articulation isn’t there. I can counter with the fact that the first 2 years of toys had more realistic alt modes than any TF toy ever, or I can argue how the post 2nd year toys had more features than any toy ever (except maybe Armada who really is the king line of features…). It’s all relative. Dismissing G1 out of hand though? Bad game.

My G1 Setup: (and for the record, I’m a modern era collector. Energon and Cybertron make up the greatest core line ever.)

A guy I know had his collection in the Museum of Discovery here locally for a while. Lives right here in LR, dates an old friend of mine, works with another friend of mine and my DJ. And where did I meet him? At Botcon 2005, in Frisco, Texas.

G1 isn’t ugly in the slightest. Well, except for maybe Wheelie but I digress. I wish my G1 collection was bigger, but the prices make it so hard for me to buy many at once. I’m looking at Warp’s list and if I had money, I’d totally buy up the Autobot cars.

Heh…I’ve gotten used to going to Botcon and not being able to buy anything. In 2006 I didn’t even enter the con at all…I just hung out with my friends.
