Speaking of selling…I might be willing to part with my Takara Vector Prime if someone wants it. I’m asking at least $70 though. I’ve opened it, but it was only out for a few hours. Box is near mint, figure and all accessories are mint. Bought it brand new unopened.
edit: Almost forgot, I DID file the grip on his sword down just a bit, so it would actually fit in his hand. But I did a really good job and it fits almost perfect. You can turn him upside down and shake him and it won’t fall out, can’t do that stock.

universe hound, cyclonus and inferno look SEXY. however, I think cheetor has evolved to a whole new level of awful, like, armada sideswipe awful. maybe even worse.
classics 2.0 sideswipe, why didnt they remold the head?

Classics/Universe Powerglide and Onslaught today.
I’m at work and I want to open Onslaught…how annoying.
It’s official…I now buy repaints.
Meaning I bought some Henkei figures (Astrotrain and Hot Rod). I’m not really feeling Ramjet seeing as how the Classics version has a better color scheme. I might pick up Starscream. Megatron is a possibility as well.
Kage: How are you liking the Henkeis and do you think they’re superior to the U.S. Classics or it more of a toss-up?

Also, other than the price tag, why did you pass up on the Henkei Skywarp/Thundercracker bundle?
I prefer the Anime Accurate Starscream and I’m not displaying MP03 at the moment. I make it a pretty strict policy to sell what I don’t display.
I’m passing on Skywarp/Thundercracker because I already have the BotCon versions. I have a friend whom we give each other a LOT of shit when one or the other passes on exclusive toys. So…we both just ordered them in a kind of pissing contest thing. Eh, I just kind of realized that I didn’t need them and they wouldn’t be displayed (so eventually sold…) and just said forget it.
Henkei v Classics is hit and miss.
I would say get both Astrotrains, both Starscreams, and both Megatrons.
I would stick to Classics on the following: Mirage, Grimlock, Bumblebee, Hot Rod, Jetfire, Ramjet
Henkei Powerglide and Silverbolt are probably the way to go. I will get both…:shake:
Henkei Thundercracker and Skywarp are the way to go IF you did not get BotCon Thundercracker.
I know we tend to throw shame on the prices that these figures fetch, but the 2007 BotCon set is literally so awesome that it made hordes of Transformers fans hate each other in ways that haven’t happened since Beast Wars came on TV. Owning BC Thrust will actually improve your standard of living.
I was looking at some pics of Henkei Hot Rod earlier today and decided to buy him. I really like the detail and the gold chromed spoiler - at least judging by the pictures - doesn’t look tacky.
I used to own Classics Astrotrain, then sold him. I bought the Henkei version as a replacement.
Henkei Megatron is probably next, possibly Starscream. I’m not a huge fan of chrome on figures since it doesn’t work well on everything, but in some cases I really think Takara applied it liberally to the Henkei line. In some cases, it’s an improvement, while it’s overkill in others.
I finally got around to opening Prowl and Sunstreaker. Haven’t gotten to Tankor yet. I have to disagree about Prowl being a terrible figure. I think the doors are a little cumbersome to work with while transforming, but you can easily pop those out and back into place when finished. Other than that, I think he’s great. My only other issue is that these figs have come with puny guns.
In fact, I bought another SS and Prowl for customs later on.
I will give you my thoughts on Tankor later.
I ordered SDCC Nemesis Prime (or is it scourge? I forget) from Hasbros website along with some exclusive Darth Vader thing.
this is the first SDCC exclusive Ive ever snagged from their site, I tried it with alternators Hot-Rod and alternators Nemesis Prime but they were sold out with the quickness.
Nemesis Prime is beautiful.

I know its not real but it still looks fantastic. Also the first time i’ve seen it so i thought it was fairly new, what with the release of the new batman movie and all.
