:u:
First off, itâs all insured and its insured for more than what it cost. I suppose it could be stolen or burned out and Iâd make a considerable profit. My Marvel Legends were stolen last year and even that turned out to be on the plus side of the dollar.
MovingâŚtakes about 3 days to pack it all up, one week to re-display it.
Itâs a lot, but in truth itâs about done. I really am only going after the Classics 2.0 now. See, my idea in the beginning was to take the modern figures and create a new G1 Universe with them.
I did it.
It was expensive, but you know, over 6-7 yearsâŚnot too bad. Plus, I hustle for a lot of it. I buy some stuff, sell others, recycle the profit. Whatever it takes.
I suppose I can add in that Iâm not one of âthose guysâ. My fiance and I are about to get married. Weâve got a really nice place we live in (nowâŚ). Weâre both professionals and have friends and a social life.
(I hate having to say all thatâŚbut I know how it is seeing a colleciton like this. You go, âwell, heâs a fucking shut-inâŚâ.)
As for buying all the oddities, etc⌠I was looking through TFU.info about 5 years ago, just after I got into the hobby. I was seeing all these oddly colored Japanese toys that were ugly/weird, but really really interesting. It got me hooked on bizzare, odd, or rare repaints. In 5-10 years from now, some of the things in these pictures will be those toys that people obsess over finding as they are just too rare.
Anyway, so yea, thatâs my den in our new place. I feel like I should have a big leather chair, a glass of wine, and a cigar everytime I sit in there. :lovin:
I think itâd be cool if SMB, myself, and some of the other TF heads took a trip to your house to witness this collection in person.
You know fucking what?
I got a box of rare Japanese Armada toys today and Prime had 3 dead spiders in the trailer.
No fucking lie.
and I guess somewhere in the range of 12k. Really though, I donât even know if that could be right because I do turn arounds on a lot of stuff to fund all this.
Damn Daidoji, thatâs a great setup you have their. Iâm highly envious, mostly for that G1 and Alternator collection (still never found Mirage or Hot Rod). Say, whoâs the big yellow guy on the very top of your G1âs, on the far right? He doesnât look familiar to me.
I agree, but Daidoji would probably have to perform a strip search of us all before we left.
SNAP of the rubber gloves.
Yeah, thatâs a great collection. Great work - thatâs a lot of energy and love right there.
That would be Victory Leo.
Heâs the piece of my collection I am most proud of.
I got him mint, perfect white, no stickers applied, missiles on the tree for just $250âŚ
Heâs one of the coolest G1 figures ever. :lovin:
I have pretty close to all of US Armada (excluding con exclusives and stuff)âŚbut only half of Cybertron and Energon I always have extended periods of insane brokeness. Aside for the collectorâs club toy that showed up unexpectedly, I havenât gotten a new Transformer in over a year. My life sucks.
quick q, which toys look the best and articulate the best out of the bunch? you know sorta like the MP tf and gundam toys⌠like those 2 aerielbots looked damn awesome (the harrier IIRC and the concorde.)
edit: those henkie ones look awesome. think they might be from that.
Nice collection you got there Daidoji Kage Makes me want to steal your Alternator Meister
If youâre looking for articulation, Revoltechs are your best option. But as far as super poseable figures that actually transform, itâs a toy by toy basis I think. Since BW, theyâve been implementing ball joints, but they still release âbricksâ in some of the new lines.
Landmine from the movie line is an example of a newer figure with versatile joints.
Mugshot
This is an awesome fan art, whether you like TF:Animated or not.

I love dyansisâ reviews but youâll have to fast forward to the 6:50 portion. He does a lot of character bio stuff at the beginning of these videos.
I posted this before right?

Reign of Starscream is a pretty good series; it takes place after the first TF movie and depicts the events that happened after it from Starscreamâs perspective. You guys should really give this book a read!
Okay, guysâŚdue to job transition bullshit, Iâm broke as hell, and I have two cans of carrots and a box of cornbread left for food. I donât get paid for two more weeks, so Iâm looking to sell pretty much the only sellable commodity I have at the momentâŚTransformers. I donât have a list prepared, but if anybody would be able to buy something this week, let me know and Iâll start digging.
Ouch, you know, Iâve considered scaling back on the collection as well
I donât want to scale back at all. In fact, I hate it because anything I sell, unless itâs a dupe, Iâm probably going to end up buying back later for a premium. But, you know, I really donât want to starve, either.
