I didn’t mention Lugnut or Voyager Bulkhead because I think that, no, I know that Lugnut needs to be a Leader Class figure and that Bulkhead is also a Leader Class figure. I don’t think that there will be any other Voyager or Leader figures coming out this year besides the ones I mentioned. Plus, you can buy two deluxes from TRU (10.99 each in store. Don’t ask why there is a dollar tacked on) and qualify to use the Coupon.
Speaking of Animated. I’m glad someone else is seeing how sweet these damn things are. I own Prowl (love), Bumblebee (meh, he just doesn’t match the show as well), Ratchet (meh, indifferent towards the character), Blackarachnia (like), Lockdown (like, just need to mod his hands, then I’ll probably love him), Grimlock (like/love, he needs his family), Earth Optmus Prime (love except for the swivel-town waist), and Starscream (like/love).
I can’t wait to get the rest of the deluxes as they roll into stores and Leader Bulkhead and Megatron.
Animated Starscream… meh. I like both modes, but the simplistic transformation just ruins him for me.
I love Prowl, Ratchet, and Blackarachnia; indifferent on Voyager Megs… that’s all I’ve been able to find out of my wants for the series. I was thinking Prowl would make a nice Axer, with a different head of course, heh. Ratchet, with a new head and removing the lightbar, with repaints, would make a nice Classics Hoist.
Apparently, Leader Megs is probably the best form of him from the Animated line. He’s bigger, the mold is more detailed, and the fusion cannon is better proportioned than the Voyager version.
I like Starscream a lot, but I’ve been reading of quality issues with some of them. There’s even an issue of missing parts in his case (hands, missiles, head). Thankfully, mine is complete and in great shape.
Also, if you buy Voyager Prime, the axe sucks and doesn’t go well with the mold. But if you get the DVD 2-pack, the axe from that figure is better suited for the Voyager class.
It’s not a bad line. But the concerns regarding the quality of these figures doesn’t make a great case for it so a lot of people just end up passing on it as a result.
I know right? Only Target seems to get new things in. TRU is always behind.
I haven’t had a single QC issue with my Animated figures. I’ve gotten really lucky.
Which Axe is more show accurate? Cybertronian Prime’s Axe or 2-Pack Prime’s Axe? His axe in the show isn’t that big (and the one with Voyager Prime is just stupid. They should have used the axe portion as a holder for the grappling hook that he uses or something. That axe is just garbage.).
Transformers anything, except the leftovers from the movie, are pretty much scarce around here. We got approx. 2 cases of wave 2 of Animated, with 2 Ratchet/BA in them, and 1 Lockdown… needless to say, I don’t have Lockdown. ;/ With things the way they are with gas, they aren’t exactly rushing to send us toys over produce. I only managed to grab Voyager Screamer + Megs while I was out of town one day (and that Wal-Mart only had Voyagers).
That said, I’m looking to get Classics 2.0 online… since they have trouble stocking even one line… esp. if that line’s been hitting shelves since late May.
I lucked out and visited Wal-Mart the night that Classics 2.0 arrived! I picked up Sunstreaker, Prowl and Tankor.
Prowl and Streaker are awesome, but Tankor is…honestly not that good. He doesn’t look very good in either of the 3 modes. Robot mode looks gimpy, Aircraft mode has little tiny wings and truck mode just doesn’t look good. I’d recommend that you guys pass on Tankor, but definitely get Streaker and Prowl.
I also saw the very AWESOME Leader Class(es) Bulkhead and Megatron. I almost bought them, but they are almost TOO big for me to have right now. Very cool. But that Animated Ultra Magnus MUST be mine regardless of size.
Feel free to ask questions etc. I know there is a lot here. This is something I have worked on for about 7 years. Planning, dedication, obsession, money…it’s taken a bit of all of that.
As far as the Armada/Energon/Cybertron stuff goes, what you see is everything, minus three things:
-Noisemaze Production Type (fuck this guy and his 400 in existance crap)
-BotCon 2006 Megatron & Waspinator 2 pack (again, 400 out there)
-about 12 or so Mini-Cons (really, I have at least over 300)
There really aren’t many people out there with a more complete AEC collection…

I don’t see how you can do it man. I mean it’s like damn, you even have all the shittier figures just to have them, it’s almost like saying that a figure actually being nice doesn’t justify owning it, you’ll get it whether it’s an ugly POS, mediocre, or one of the nicest figures ever. :lol:
What if a spider or something crawled up in your shit and laid some eggs. Like, inside the Matrix of Leadership. You’d never even know. What if one day you saw a bunch of army ants crawling out of Cybertron Metroplex’s ass (yea I know you like to pose him in his alt mode). Plastic & die-cast metal-devouring siafu. Just think about that. I’ve had bugs crawl out from random shit that was being stored in bookshelves before, don’t think they can’t invade your shit too. Yes I’m a bit envious, and to quell that I have to try and make you paranoid for some dumbass reason. Weird huh. But seriously I would hose your shit down with raid just in case.
I’m curious how long it took you to amass that though. And how much you spent as well.
edit: Oh sorry, read the top of your post just now. 7 years eh? 7 years of collecting…yeah that’s some dedication right there. But how much would you estimate you spent?
I think all you really need now is green Unicron and gold MP Prime. Oh yea, and black Sixshot. And you’ll be done.
