Nothing will ever top G1 for mass nostalgia as the concept is so novel. For me, Beast Wars is the superior story and was the series that I actually got to experience during it’s on-air run. I hold a much fonder connection to that show than any of G1. If I had to pick which one to collect en masse, Beast Wars would be it (with a detolf of Optimus Primes over the years

There’s a lot of silly campiness in G1, but that’s what makes it great. Space-choo choo is just another one of those “things”.

I’ve gotten most of them, my Megatron MP is on “hold/storage” or whatever you call it at TFsource. So far from what I’ve read many aren’t fans of Blackarachnia in beast mode but eeh I’ll be displaying her in robot mode anyways.
Personally I’m waiting on whenever they announce Quickstrike.

I’ve never claimed that I know a lot about it? So? I know I’m a casual fan at best. What’s your point? I don’t need to be an encyclopedia of knowledge in order to enjoy something. I can also like certain parts of a fandom and dislike/not care about other aspects of it.

Quickstrike would be dope as fuck. He was my favorite Fuzor in beast wars. My favorite toy Fuzor was probably AirHammer who was a hammer head shark/hawk. Hella cool.
I really want the Cheetor and Dinobot ones.
My main wish list MP’s would be Rattrap (preferably transmetal) and B I G S M A R T B O I Rhinox.

I do wonder if there will ever be a Beast Wars Season 2 and 3 MP line. Many of the figures are pretty damn close to the representation of the characters on screen.

It wasn’t cheap LOL. It’s probably the most expensive 3P figure I’ve bought. Next up would be Planet X Vulcan (FOC Grimlock). That’s the only “set” of 3P figures that I have completed (FOC Dinobots).
If its one things Beast Wars had was some of those figures would have been awesome on the show Polar Claw would have been great, as for decepticons I preferred the reptiles (Iguanus, Snapper, Slapper.)
I have Air Hammer such a nice design I do wish I could find Sharpedge (a retooled Cybershark toy)

Iirc a lot of the Fuzor toys were from the Japanese Beast Wars II cartoon, weren’t they? I know the Zebra Fish Lion Fish/Hornet one was. His name escapes me at the moment.
And I think some of the ones who also had weapon modes were from Beast Wars II? Like the Baboon that turned into the assault cannon. Kinda like Galvatron but not.
Yeah they featured most of the other characters just different color variants while using some of the old G2 molds as decepticons. That’s how I learned why Japanese Razorbeast toys were cheaper than their American counterparts (shout out to GPS). You talking about the Lion fish/hornet combo? All I know about that one is it had a big head which made it hard as hell to keep him standing in robot mode

Some of the toy only bots were pretty awesome. Polar Claw’s prototype had a better name (Barbearian)
I had to look up that one. Then saw that it was also used for one of the RID Dinosaurs (recolors of the Beast Wars Neo Ankylosaur).
Most of the non-show characters. However Injector (or any of the Fuzors) were featured on the show. They did have the cyber mechanized versions of characters (e.g. Cybershark being remolded for BWII Hellscream)
B’Boom became Apache in Japan. A lot of those “attack modes” were featured on the show.

I haven’t seen BWII in a looooong time. I remember I had to torrent it. The subs seemed very questionable. Lol
I wish it was released state side or I could find a legal way to watch it.
Edit: also, all ya’ll making my head spin with your Tf knowledge. I feel like I’ve entered the matrix. The Keanu Reeves one…not the leadership one.
