The ones that are still alive , anyway. I want to see how the transformations look. P* has experience and talent with that, so it should look faithful to the source material at the absolute least.
Activision is the x-factor in all this, so hopefully P* got the proper budget.
I agree wholeheartly, maybe they’ll be unlocks (like Jeanne in Bayonetta) or do some DLC bonus episode like Metal Gear Rising.
But still a full Decepticon campaign is what I would prefer.
At least Grimlock is a nice change of pace form the typical Autobot mold.
Vehicle Combat is my only concern about this title. If they intend to keep this G1, then the vehicle modes (for the Autobots) are nothing more than a sprint. I am cool with the stealth force concept that some of the other games have adopted. With the game being in Platinum Games hands, combat is going to be something awesome! Makes you wonder what happened to High Moon Studios though, as both War (for) and Fall of Cybertron games were really solid games.
Glad to see the OG cast back as well. I do hope they get Cullen to lighten the voice up a little.
I don’t think the Korra game was bad. At worst it was average. It’s poor production values and shitty camera did it in. The combat was solid and had some interesting ideas. I liked the charged attacks and the different mobility options which bending style provided.
What was mentioned during the interview following the teaser:
Inspiration for the game came primarily from the G1 cartoon but ideas from IDW Comics and other media were taken in as well.
Develeopment team from Bayonetta and Legend Of Korra video games were involved in making Transformers: Devastation (which certainly explains the familiar style from both games).
Player will only control the Autobots.
After the introduction stage of the game, the player can choose whomever they want to play as.
The game is Single Player Only. That’s right; no Multiplayer capabilities.
The game will come to PC as well (along with PS3, PS4, Xbox360 and Xbox One).
Gameplay footage will be revealed tomorrow; Tuesday 16th June, 2015 at 6PM Eastern Time (as mentioned above).
Welp, Vehicle combat question answered. The Vehicle component will either suck or be awesome. We shall see. Still hyped over 9K as the robot mode stuff looks fantastic.
Wow , HighMoon games (WfC and FOC) were awesome for being based off G1.
Now Platinum games is going to up the ante and aesthetically look like the 80s animated G1 show ?
This is crazy , never thought something like this would be happening now.
Children of the 80s REJOICE !!!
It’s also good there’s no multiplayer … because that’s not what Platinum games excel at anyway … ever played Anarchy Reigns online ?
I’m wary about getting too excited. This game looks like another $15 digital only title and that release date is really close. I did actually like Korra, especially considering that it was only $15, and I am sure this game will be good cause Platinum, but it probably won’t be crazy amazing or anything, and I’m not really a big TF fan.
The only real excitement I have is for P* at this point
