The blood thing was homage to old Samura and ninja movies where that kind of shit happens. I’m not sayin its a good movie I’m jus sayin.
lol yeah, I’m still waiting for a martial arts movie called Fist Punch
also, I liked Ninja Assassin. It could have been a LOT better, obviously, but until they make a Ninja Scroll movie, I’d say it’s one of my favourite ninja movies (I’d love to know what ones I should be watching, and don’t you dare say American Ninja)
So if the rumours of Spielberg taking over are true, would you like them to reboot, or continue this storyline on (which logically would lead towards Unicron and Galvatron showing up)?
no way their gonna reboot it. spielberg will find a way to retcon shit without a full reboot
like telling us the real Megatron was locked away still, somewhere deep underground, rather than the fucking inept leper-bot that wasn’t actually in charge, that got released upon us?
Well the rumor going around know is:
If that rumor is true, i’m there again.
If you wanna go the Shaw Brothers old school route, Chinese Super Ninjas is my favorite ninja movie of all-time. But a more modern ninja movie that’s really good is Azumi.
This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:
The thing is… there aren’t a lot of good movies that actually star ninjas or are about ninjas and their way of life. Most times, they’re just used as the random jobbers to a main character like in Shogun Assassin.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA too much awesomeness for my brain to handle…this series is fucking PERFECT for Statham (who is my 2nd favourite actor, behind Gary Oldman, mainly because he gives balding men like me presence similar to Patrick Stewart). Also, the fact he is an international star, adds to the fact that Transformers is supposed to be WORLDWIDE, rather than an American only thing. It will be too fucking funny in the movie to realize that Shia the Beef dumped Megan Fox for Duck Lips, only to have Duck Lips dump him for Statham (her real life boyfriend/fucktoy).
I’ll definitely check both of those out. I hate to ask, but there is a movie that just came out recently, and I can’t fucking remember the name of it. Something about “ANGER”. But there are ninja’s in it, and there was a scene in the trailer of a fuck ton of ninjas landing on all these buildings. Sad thing is, I posted a link to it back in the day, but I can’t remember it now for some fucked up reason. Any news on that???
naw they need to keep Statham as a NEST agent. That was the second human aspect i liked about T3 was NEST. T4 should be just NEST and Transformers against unicron/galvatron,.
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh… Gotta give me more man. Maybe you mean Kamui, The Lone Ninja? That;s a good ninja flick that’s been out for a little while.
This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:
Seriously. There are a buttload of movies that have ninjas in it.
The movie may still be in theatres somewhere, either way it just came out here
One of the HUGE improvements i liked about DOTM, is the Bot-to-human scene ratio was quite well balanced this time around.
Unlike return of the fallen where the human-only scenes were just so overbearing, dragged on f-o-r-e-v-e-r, and the Transformers themselves were shoved into the background. In DOTM it seemed like for every scene the humans got, the bots also had their share of time which was great to see.
Furthermore, the majority of the human scenes had very little waste and stupidity, they effectively contributed to the plot in some form, and those dumbass instances of excess that were present(the parents, tutorro, etc) were toned down a lot from the other two flicks.
A lot of the crass jokes and other dumb crap from the others(dogs humping, etc) were missing too.
This shows that Bay was listening to some extent about the previous fan complaints, and tried to fix things.
The delta being Enter the Dragon was not a trilogy, was not marketed as one, and was better at what it was than what Xformers has been. I don’t disagree with the idea at all, when I go to an action movie thats what I’m paying to see and I go in in action movie mode - which is why even though I think the 38% RT is giving it is accurate - if yo ucheck my first post o nthe subject some pages ago, I said that the movie was actually still worth seeing, because it had action, it had special effects, etc.
But that doesn’t change that the movie was damn near 3 hours long, when yo uhave a 3 hour ‘action’ movie, there should be some level of character development or or delving…something to make you care about the main characters. At the end of Avatar you care about Jake Sully and the Navi. Terminator 2 had the crowd cheering when Arnold dropped himself into the lava - because thru the course of the movvie they mde you like him…he went from the most terrifying cyborg ever in Terminator…even with the level of special effects at the time, the first Terminator still satisfies as a ‘high-tech zombie’ movie…to a hero for the ages. So being an action movie doesn’t mean you abandon anything not action oriented. I can look at IpMan a another parallel - you get to identify with the main character and understand his position and despostion as well as growth, in less than two hours AND it has a ton of fights in it.
I guess I’m just saying that its an average action movie in the scheme of things that with being a trilogy, had the time necessary to be a GREAT action movie but didn’t live up to it.

Maybe if it was Ninja: Assassain?
or
Ninja - The Assassain?
or
The Assassainating Ninja (I like that one haha)
I always wanted to see that because of the name, but reviws turned me off…how can you have that much epicness in a title and flop…that would be like
Pirates X Ninja - being a bad movie…you have to try to fail with that kind of epicness…
hmm did Deadliest Warriors ever do Pirates x Ninjas?

I forgot about this thread. I’ll post up this afternoon after the doctor in reply to some of the stuff people here have said. TIS has said it pretty well though. Same with Zero, and my original post about how all you guys are bitching but you still went to ALL THREE. You knew you didn’t like the guy or his movies. Did you just go to bitch?
I will say though, you people bitching about plots and then referencing the Terminator movies or anything that James Cameron has done besides Aliens or True Lies are hilarious. Terminator as a whole has the biggest and most stupid plot hole I’ve ever seen, but nobody ever talks about that. Avatar is pochahontas with big fucking aliens. C’mon, son.
Avatar is not in the same league as Terminator, remove all the special effects it’s a shit film
avatar rehashed alot of stupid race/nature shit. i already saw ferngully/roots/pocahontas
The movie was named ninja assassin because he was a ninja assassin. As in he was assassinating ninjas. Not redundant in anyway. He literally was a Ninja Assassin. Couldn’t be any clearer.
I thought ninja assassin was ok. Wasn’t a piece of shit like TIS is saying imo. Just wasn’t as good as i had hoped for with the names involved. Transformers also was ok. Wasn’t that good, or that much better than the other’s like they were saying. But it was ok. Truly wish they would just focus more on transformers, get some of the human element out.
As the one who brought up Terminator, my point had nothign to do with plot and everything to do with developing a bond of some sorts to the main characters.
Lets be honest here
Xformer movie
[details=Spoiler]
Did ANYONE care when Ironhide died? Even though he had been in all three Xformer movies? More people were into Starscream dying than Ironhide. What about ‘the British’ Xformer who’s name I don’t even know? Mirage? I only know his name because someone said who he was.[/details]
I’m NOT trying to delve into saying the movie is ass blah blah blah - I’ve already stated that I think its a decent summer movie to see - but that does not change that for a TRILOGY, not a stand alone movie, but we’ve had THREE movies to get attached to characters in the series, but if you aren’t Prime/BumbleBee- no one gives a damn - and like I said it has NOTHING to do with being an action movie and everything to do with how it was put together. That’s why I brought up Terminator - you care for the three main character, and think that the T1000 was ‘cool’ even though he was a bad guy. I’m a Megatron fan off the break - I admit that…there was absolutly nothing that made ANY of the villains in this movie let alone the series ‘cool’ to like- they were simply fodder for Prime. Maybe I’d feel better if they fleshed Megatron out more, but they really really just ignored making the audience attached to the villains or feel as though the villains were…well villains. Money would have been better spent giving the Transformers already designed - more screen time, than trying to create and animate a bunch of new transformers that are generic or hardly even named. It made the movie a mess, plain and simple, and took away form the suspense of a scene.
I’m done, I’m posting way more than intended. If you liked the first two, you’ll like this one - its essentially a sequel to ROTF with less bullshit. Still not great by any sense though

I went because it’s the end of the trilogy. I did the same shit with Matrix, and I knew that last one was gonna suck too. I don’t see 2 out of 3 movies then just tap out and ignore the third. It’s like Gears of War 3. I’m pretty much just finishing the story now. With Transformers 3, I still think it would have been a better payoff if shit built up over the three movies, rather than the fact that they seemed to just be three disjointed movies.
Believe me, Transformers isn’t the only shitty franchise I’ve stuck with to see how it turns out (Tremors, Matrix, Halloween, I could go on all day).
I love how you forget about all the other big Cameron movies (Titanic, and nice Avatar save), or the fact that he is also a fantastic writer (He wrote Rambo 2 and Strange Days, for instance). Avatar was Dances With Wolves and aliens, btw. Dude still made some of the greatest movies to ever be made, including my beloved Piranha 2
Man, why you so grumpy about this RC? You come in and complain about people not sucking the dick of DOTM, or cutting up Michael Bay because he barely shit out three movies since The Rock then was handed Transformers, and ask for people to explain themselves. Then you spaz on people when they do point out their reasons.
Tell me, why do I have to like Michael Bay, and why can’t I point out the reasons I didn’t like the movie? We can have opinions too, man
Because people are calling his movies the worst thing that’s ever hit the planet and that’s bullshit. The guy is a decent director. Action movies very rarely have a good plot but people in here are acting all offended that a movie about giant fucking robots didn’t reveal the fragility of the human condition to them. Stop being idiots.
Unreal isn’t the first on in here to bring up Cameron or the Terminator but then bitches about the plot of the Transformers. The Terminator story line rests on the idea that a guy from the future sent his father back into the past to protect his mother and so he could be born.
Let me repeat that.
The Terminator story line rests on the idea that a guy from the future sent his father back into the past to protect his mother and so he could be born.
So I’m sorry, Wil, but comparing to two on plot is absolutely fucking ridiculous.
The Transformers is not some shakespearean epic that Michael Bay just came in and took a shit on while giving a middle finger to the fans. Half of the stories from the cartoon didn’t make sense but people are up in here like “OMG THIS IS THE WORST THING EVER CREATED WHAT DID HE DO TO MY CHILDHOOD?!” and they’ve been doing it since 2008. But they’re still the same people lining up at the midnight showings just to be disapointed. WHY? It makes no fucking sense.
I didn’t say you couldn’t have an opinion. I’m saying that people paying to be pissed off is stupid. You admitted that you went and saw movies that sucked just to finish the story. That’s what other people in here have said as well, right along with “I HATE THE STORY”. Well, why go see something for the story when you hated it in the first place? Is it some sort of weird masochistic tendency with movies you don’t like and stories you don’t like? That’s like saying you don’t like getting into fights but you want somebody to punch you in the face, just to see how it plays out.
I didn’t forget about any of the other Cameron movies. I didn’t like Titanic, I thought Avatar was the most overrated piece of shit I’ve ever seen, but that doesn’t make it a bad film or Cameron a bad director. I wouldn’t call Avatar the worst film ever because despite not liking it, I can see why others did like it. That’s what most of you guys are missing in regards to all of this.
And since you brought up writing, we aren’t talking about Michael Bay’s writing. He didn’t write ANY of the Transformers movies. Cameron wrote Avatar and that movie is every movie/story you’ve ever seen or read about a person coming from one culture to another rolled into one, except it’s got 8 foot tall blue people. You can say James Cameron is a great writer all you want, but the guy came up with Unobtanium. Get the fuck out out of here.
Obviously most of you haven’t truly seen horrible movies or horrible directors. Uwe Boll is a horrible director. The Almighty Thor, Yor, Battlefield Earth, and that shitty Texas Chainsaw massacre with Mathew Mconheoughkleoi and Reneee Zellwegger are TERRIBLE movies. Transformers 3 is not even close to shit like every one is proclaiming. You can say I’m being grumpy or whatever you want to frame how stupid most of you are being by saying shit like “this is the worst movie of all time” in regards to all of this, but Transformers 3 was not a horrible movie by a long shot, and Michael Bay certainly isn’t the worst director of all time. If you didn’t like it, that’s totally fine, but don’t confuse your dislike for something as it being the worst thing ever created. And I’m saying that to everybody. You can all get mad about it if you want but it’s fucking true.
As I said previously, Michael Bay is now the Final Fantasy VII of movies. Everybody talks shit, but every body played it. All you guys are talking shit about his movies, yet you’ve seen all of them. Ridiculous.
And BTW, Titanic was a terrible movie with terrible pacing where nothing happens until the ship hits an Iceberg and then people get all stupid.
