Can’t seem to juggle after an OTG bomb off target, VTC, HK dp, OTG bomb. As in, I’m right up their and the air normal should hit, but it doesn’t.

Posted a couple combos in the combo thread. Doesn’t feel to me like Ibuki has many links or combos without meter.

Here’s some little info I can provide that I have streamed so far:

-She can do instant over head with her j.lp, mk target combo. It seems to work on large charaters. Fang, and biride, possibly zangief. I was thinking on a scenario, where a bomb is thrown in a corner, if she does hit with the target combo instantly, she can follow it up with a special, or CA. Or, if they try to press a button while she’s in the air vulnerable the bomb can provide some protection.

-Also, specific combo’s related to big characters let ibuki combo into certain combos not noramlly on regular characters. Think of it as a double tsumuji loop in SSF4.
For example, with birdie, while in crouching state, I managed to do st.mp, followed up with st.lp, mp, hp. Normally I think you need a counter first to pull it off, but because the hitbox is so big, you can follow it up.

There are probably a couple undiscovered combo’s with ibuki with diff char’s specifically. Just needs more time to research.

She’s mainly counter hit based for her combos. If you land s.LP or s.MK on counter hit you can go to town.

s.MP, s.LK is your main non counter hit bnb. It’s like your Ryu s.MP, c.MP. Confirm s.MP, hit s.LK then go into LP raida and dash up s.LP meaty.

I only did her trials at the moment but it seems they actually made her Raida knockdown where you can’t use back recovery from.
I asked this same question when she was showcased on stream and there it was possible to use back recovery. I guess they changed it last minute.

No idea what is going on, sometimes the dummy can use back-recovery, other times it can’t. Probably a glitch :s

Does both of her CC hit crouching opponents?

Can she press any normal then go into any target combo so that we have some kind of safe confirm?

And what about her best ranged normal cancel into dash, will it be safe afterwards.

Can any of you try those…

after karin her controls seem clumsy. will die but get used to it

-f.hk hits crouching and causes juggle, st.hk whiffs on crouching but keeps opponent grounded.

-cr.lp or st.lp works and you can still do her TC.

-st.hp is the furthest cancellable normal. No matter the normal you cancel from they are all atleast -8 on block. dpending on which normals you use and if you use the medium command dash, it will be more even negative…lol.

No, only f+HK hits crouching opponents. s.HK is your DP whiff punish CC. Not gonna use it much other than that. f+HK is seriously good though and only minus 3 on block so use that.

So far the easiest thing I’ve found is do s.LP, s.MK as a link. If the s.LP hits on counter hit it will link into s.MK and then you can do sweep, s.HK target chain. Have plenty of time to confirm. I tried hit confirming s.MK into sweep raw, but s.MK doesn’t have long cancel frames so can’t really do too easily without counter hit.

Everything is gonna be unsafe for the most part. Her command dashes seem to be more for combo extension or air reset mix up stuff now. You’ll pretty much have to catch someone sleeping to get normal to command dash stuff to work.

funny observation with air target combo:
second hit will whiff on airborne opponents unless used from her command dash. impossible to use on grounded opponent

s.LP
s.MP
c.MP

Dash on block isn’t safe. If you want safe pressure, use a kunai.

Thanks man… well I guess her approach if so negative on the ground… her approach could revolve around the air cross up… can you guys try cancelling into the cross up or the kunai to hit in the front of them?

Ken’s approach is pretty negative but he hits people all the time. Just have to have good set up options and things that are ambiguous. I’ll test more stuff out when I get home later

bought all the colors and unlocked all the main ones.
she has 3 blue colors, 2 red colors…
her colors are complete ass. also, colors in shop are ass too

s.MP xx F+HK is a NATURAL CRUSH COUNTER. It is safe on block and will crush counter 3-frame jabs everytime. While you don’t get a lot off of the CC itself here, it’s a free super or corner carry with Raida or DP.

C.MK seems a decent poke, and while it’s not special cancellable, it is v-trigger cancellable. s.mp to c.mk will blow up 3 frame jabs, giving you a low option for mixups, and you can convert using V-Trigger -> DP -> MK Dash -> Ender.

Just bought Ibuki and wow if people complained how versatile Chun li was for the rest of initial roster I dont know what will they say about Ibuki. She is just so… rich(cant find better word).
