So 3v3 will start at 4pm and singles will start immediately after 3v3 is finished. No one wants to start a tournament at 8pm, the earlier the better for most.
one page back…

shoutouts to me
maaaan theres a lil caesars in renton…5 dollar deal but thats askin for the bubble guts hahahahaha
I be showing up around 3ish. Trying to get some casuals in before the tourney starts.
Damn im hella mad i didnt make it :(, i used all my gas from my last Dojo trip, next time yall have an event somebody out near Tacoma hit me up so i can car pool wit yall
So some updated data…
3v3 had 17 TEAMS!!!
1v1 only had 41 entries by the time it started, we had some ppl bail out of 1v1 early, else we would have had about 50 entries.
All in all a pretty strong turnout!!
Isai was there…?
I think that was top 3 anyway haha
Canada won 3v3
Good tournament glad I got to see almost all of it
ggs to everyone I played. I got to have someone commentate a match I won! woo!
GG’s everyone. Had a really good time and as always I learned a lot. There’s one thing I cant seem to get off my mind though. I play Rufus and normally at home (and on my friends system) i can hit rufus full dive kick combo without trouble, but on some of the monitors at the event I just couldn’t hit anything.
I would do divekick miss st.lk (it just never came out for me) and just stand there stupidly while my brain auto-pilots the rest of the combo. It took me like two hours until I was able to pull off a full combo in a match or a casual.
I recognize that different screens are going to have different response times, but I was not expecting it to throw off my game as much as it did. How can I be more consistent on lots of different setups? I’d really like to avoid that problem in the future so I can just focus on making my game better.
Great event. Hope there will be more.
Is there an archive of the stream somewhere?
I believe the matches were recorded on the TourneyPlay USteam channel.
I think that has a lot of it anyway.
One of the things I want to try and do this year at GC is get more of the 22" Viewsonic’ish TVs to make the TV set up more consistent.
This is something my Halo events will likely pay for us to do, so that will help some with the different set ups and inconsistency of play styles on diff TVs.
Its not a immediate fix, may not even fit into the “short term” as its sort of expensive on the scale we are to swap out 4 or 5 TVs, esp considering I have to keep 5 or 6 of the tubes for Smash.
SPECIAL THANKS to
Slash for that AMAZING live stream! We will be talking at some point about that.
Rob for running 1v1 bracket. I was more then ready to do it, but you wanted to so bad, who am I to stand in the way?
Eman for running teams and helping get this ball rolling (along with B0kkin and Dugg)
THANKS to all of you for allowing GC to host this. All in all it was one of the best events I have been a part of and I have put together a LOT of events.
I hope we can get a monthly going for the PNW here and help put Seattle on the SF Map.
Looks like my set with tanaka was at the end of the the video and only got 1 round in… Good thing i won that round :)!
I know someone was recording the HD stream… any word on that?
GGs to everyone that I played! I had fun being my first tourney and I’ll be looking forward for future events. Also does anyone know where I can buy the usb piece that connects to the sticks/fightpads (xbox 360)? I think mine came off as I played my last match and I really dont want to go back up there for it. Thanks again!
Big shoutouts to everyone there.
All the HD recordings are on my comp but I’m not even unpacking that yet. I just woke up haha. Will give some updates but everything will be up on my youtube, hopefully within this week.

Thanks again to Chris and Slash for putting this all together. Great turnout.
To all attendees: It seems someone accidentally took my 360 stick home with them. It’s a regular TE with a single strip of blue tape on the bottom. If you have it, please PM me.
GGs to people. Gene, I feel you on the latency thing but it was hitting alot of people. I know that viewsonic tv across from the stream setups I was doin fine on. Both Delucifer and I hit repeated 1 frame links with ease. But hey not everything wil be perfect all of the time.
Great job to slash and the stream. That was a buff proffessional looking setup.
Big props to Gerogia for having the clutch headache medicine so it didn’t feel like midgets were trying to escape my skull.
Bowflex is hella good at telling stories.
Thanks to Chris for allowing us to have a venue and the tent was nice too.
Good stuff to people who ran brackets.
It was cool to see travelers to this event, tri-cities/Canada(BC and beyond)/Oregon
Shoutouts to the self proclaimed best cammy/akuma in the NW.
Good job on venue, stream, vibe. It seemed like a lot of good things happened at this event. Too bad I missed it but some of you caught me talking shit in the stream, LOL.
I suck. GGs everybody.
Much love to ABOB!
